Harold Wayne Riese, an inspirational and adventurous man known for his hard-working nature, passed on February 22, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on November 5, 1941, in Littlefield, Texas. His family moved from Littlefield in 1948 to Bishop, Texas, where he attended St. Paul Lutheran School and graduated from Bishop High School in 1958, creating lifelong friendships along the way. After graduation from high school, Harold joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in California from 1958 to 1962. He later studied at San Jacinto College in their Safety Engineering Program. He spent his professional life as a safety engineer, a career that reflected his dedication and commitment to the well-being of others. Harold married his former wife, Gayle Bissett, on December 18, 1965, and together they had two children, Charles "Chuck" Riese and Richard "Rick" Riese. On December 13, 1984. he married Ann Musick Riese, the love of his life. They enjoyed traveling together and made their home in Baytown, Texas. After Ann's passing on May 4, 2019, Harold moved to Waller, Texas, to live with his son, Rick, and daughter-in-law, Samantha. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, outdoor activities, and traveling, pursuits that brought him joy throughout his life. Harold will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love for keeping up with old and new friends, his dedication to family and friends, and his inspirational life. He is survived by his sons, Richard Riese (Samantha Jo Riese) of Waller, Texas, and Charles Riese of Austin, Texas; his brother Charles "Pete" Riese of Austin, Texas; his sisters Darlene "Susie" Joyce (Richard Joyce) of Humble, Texas, and Karen Kastner (Michael Kastner) of College Station, Texas: his granddaughter Jordan Ann Riese of Waller, Texas; his grandson Tyler Wayne Riese (Kaitlynne Riese) of Montgomery, Texas; and his great-granddaughter Hynslee Riese. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Rev. Elmer Henry Riese and Hattie Wende Riese, and his wife, Ann Musick Riese. A visitation will be held on March 2, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Memorial Funeral Chapel located at 2901 Texas AvenueSouth, College Station, Texas. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm. Harold will be laid to rest at a later date at Weldon Cemetery in Lovelady, Texas.
