Michael proudly served as a retired Airman in the United States Air Force, dedicating years of service to his country. His military tenure was marked by discipline and honor, traits that he carried into his civilian life. Following his military service, Michael embarked on a career as a welder, working at various locations where he was respected for his skill and work ethic. He was a cherished member of his community and a loving figure to his extensive family.
Michael was a lifelong learner who earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas. His education was a testament to his belief in the value of hard work and persistence.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Michael is survived by his brother, Richard Ranspot; sons, Jeff Ranspot and his wife April, and Jason Ranspot; daughters, Molly Phillips and Penelope Wicks; grandchildren, Emily Childress, Amanda Phillips, Heather Ranspot, Casey Nothe, Christopher Nothe, and Krystal Dugan; along with many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hazel Ranspot; parents, George Thomas Ranspot and Myrtlebelle Porter; sister, Sylvia Terry; and grandson, Thomas Holley.
A memorial service to honor Michael’s life will be held at a later date.
