We have been providing updates about our transportation services over the past several weeks, and we are sending another update today to keep you informed.
The transportation department is extremely short staffed this week and all members of the transportation team are driving buses at this time, including the manager and dispatcher. This will cause delays for phone and email inquiries for the department.
While this is always our last resort, a very small number of bus routes will need to be cancelled this week. If your route is cancelled, you will receive an email notification. This necessity has not been taken lightly, and we understand the inconvenience route cancellations causes to both students and parents. We sincerely apologize for this disruption.
The BHS transportation department continues to operate as efficiently as possible with the challenges of the years-long, ongoing shortage of bus drivers. We are actively working to resolve the driver shortage issue, and we will make every effort to resume normal bus service as soon as possible.
