Dear BHS Community,

The end of the school year marks a significant milestone, and it is with a sense of gratitude and pride that I reflect upon the remarkable achievements and collective efforts of our school district and community.

I am proud of our students, who have shown remarkable adaptability and determination throughout this school year. They have inquired about their world, supported their peers, and engaged in meaningful activities that have enriched their educational journey.

The dedication, innovative teaching methods, and tireless efforts of our teachers, support staff, and district leadership have made a lasting impact on the lives of our students. The commitment to their profession and unwavering belief in the potential of every student is truly commendable.

The support and involvement of our parents and guardians have been invaluable in creating a strong foundation for the success of our students.

As we enter summer break, I encourage our families to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy quality time with loved ones. Summer provides an opportunity for exploration, personal growth, and creating cherished memories. Please take advantage of the numerous resources and programs available within our community that promote continued learning, physical well-being, and personal development.

While the 2022-23 school year marks my last year as your superintendent, please know that our school district will be working diligently this summer to prepare for the upcoming academic year and the transitions ahead. We are committed to providing the best possible education and support for our students, and we look forward to welcoming them back in the fall. I want to express my gratitude for your support, partnership, and commitment to the success of our students throughout my time here at BHS.

Please read through some important district updates below.

Sincerely,

Superintendent Patrick Watson

Annual Registration (Back to School Forms)

The Annual Back to School Registration process for current families will be open starting July 12 for next school year. If your child is attending school (kindergarten through 12th grade, including developmental kindergarten) in Bloomfield Hills Schools, you are required to register annually. Look for an email with instructions in the coming weeks.

Kindergarten

Developmental Kindergarten and Kindergarten registration are open for the 2023-24 school year. We encourage you to register if you have not done so already and spread the word in your neighborhood!

Developmental Kindergarten is intended to provide an additional year of academic and social growth for those interested. Bloomfield Hills Schools is excited to continue this program again this fall at each of our elementary schools. This program may be a good fit for children turning five-years-old between September 1 and December 1. There are currently seats available at Lone Pine, Conant, and Way.

EXPANDING PROGRAM!

Bloomfield Hills Schools offers limited opportunities for students in 11th grade who are interested in experiential-based high school learning.
