About the Role: You will be working as part of DevOps team to automate the application deployment. Your experience and scripting skills will help you automate scaling and management of server resources and implement code for zero-downtime deployments and to facilitate DevOps practices. This position offers an outstanding opportunity for a unique individual who possesses a solid development/deployment/operations services background.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Development and Operations teams. Automate, implement, administer, and maintain build, deployment and monitoring systems.

 

Qualifications:
Strong experience with build and deployment automation technologies. Attitude to take ownership and deliver on time with high quality.
Bias for action, bias for ship.

Must have Requirements:
4+ years work experience or strong knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment. 4+ years of Chef experience at expert skill level. 4+ years of experience with Linux/Unix Administration.
4+ years of software configuration management.
4+ years of continuous build automation - Jenkins, Hudson.
4+ years of working with a maven, artifact repository - Sonotype, Artifactory
4+ years of maven, ant and shell scripting and some other scripting language such as perl or python.
4+ years of revision control systems - git, github, subversion.

 

Other requirements:
Familiarity with Docker, Openshift, AWS. Experience with Release Management. Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service. On-call responsibilities on a rotation basis is a requirement. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to work with remote teams Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Passion for development/deployment of high-quality services for correctness and robustness.
Good communication skills.
