Role: SDET (Automation Tester with Java Dev Exp)
Location: Reston, VA
Duration: 6+ months
Interview : Phone & Skype
Responsibilities:
• Individual would be part of the scrum team and would be responsible for sprint
to sprint test automation. Other day-to-day scrum related responsibilities
including reporting during standup meetings and other ceremonies for each
sprint.
• The technology stack in use is JAVA, Cucumber, Jenkins, Selenium, Rally,
Crucible and ALM. Individual should be very strong with core Java skills as
their role would include review of code as well. Selenium and ALM is a plus but
secondary skills desired for the role.
• Exposure and skills working on web services is key as well. Strong skills around
XML,JASON, XSD, XSLT, REST and parsing techniques is key. This is regularly
used on day to day basis and individual is expected to write them (not just
understanding)
• Individual would be working with upstream/ downstream application teams for
integration testing. This will include Dev Integration and test integration
both.
• UNIX and Database skills is a must.
Required Skills:
• Proven experience as a Software Developer in Test (SDET)
• 4+ years of test automation experience ( Selenium, Cucumber) with specific
focus on development of test automation frameworks and scripting
• 6+ years of experience developing and testing J2EE based n-tier applications
• 4+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based
applications
• Technical skills required: Strong SQL skills, database structures, preferably
in an Oracle environment; Unix tools and terminology; ETL and Web-based
architecture
• Advanced knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Good analytical and problem solving skills, including statistical analysis.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Mortgage industry and secondary mortgage application knowledge preferred
• Industry-standard tool experience preferred: Quality Center/ALM, ClearQuest,
DOORS, Microsoft Office Suite: MS-PowerPoint and MS-Project
