Role: AWS Architect / AWS Cloud ArchitectLocation: Tallahassee, FL OnsiteRequired Qualifications:Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) core services, including compute, storage, networking, and databases, as well as cloud architecture principles such as high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, and disaster recovery; knowledge of cloud security best practices including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks; knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation; knowledge of networking concepts including VPC design, routing, DNS, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity; and knowledge of system administration practices in Linux and/or Windows environments. Skill in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions; troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application issues in production environments; automating processes through scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash); monitoring, logging, and performance tuning using AWS-native and third-party tools; leading technical teams and coordinating solution delivery; and communicating technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to architect and implement enterprise-level cloud solutions aligned with organizational goals; lead and mentor team members while promoting best practices and continuous improvement; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions; work independently and collaboratively across teams; maintain clear and accurate documentation; and respond effectively to on-call incidents, outages, and emergency situations.
- Experience working in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Experience working in a government or large enterprise environment.
