Position Overview
The Lead Software Engineer will lead a team of software engineers in the
development, integration, and support of enterprise software solutions,
including web applications, APIs, ETL processes, batch jobs, and orchestration
across clinical, claims, enrolment, reporting, finance, and corporate domains.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, responsible for guiding,
mentoring, and organizing the engineering team while actively contributing to
architecture, design, and implementation of high-volume, complex transaction
systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years hands-on software
engineering experience.
- 3+ years leading technical
teams as a Lead.
- Experience in healthcare IT,
including payor/managed care systems.
- Proficiency with .NET, C#, SQL,
T-SQL, PL/SQL.
- Strong experience in software
engineering methodologies, DevOps, SDLC, ITSM, Agile/Scaled Agile
practices.
- Experience with cloud
technologies, preferably AWS (Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB,
CloudFormation, Glue, Step Functions, Athena, Redshift).
- Expertise in web application
development, event-driven integrations, APIs, microservices, and design
patterns.
- Experience with ETL pipelines,
data modeling, batch job processing, and scripting.
- Strong technical leadership,
problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
- Experience gathering
requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Skilled in project estimation,
work breakdown, and staffing forecast.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, CLIA, FDA,
SOX compliance for regulated healthcare solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal
communication skills; ability to influence decisions and collaborate
cross-functionally.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer
Science, IT, or related discipline.
- AWS certifications
- Experience with Python,
Salesforce, and AWS analytics tools.
- Domain-driven design
experience.
- Prior work in life sciences or
healthcare regulated environments.
