Position: WebMethods Developer / Integration Engineer
Duration: Long term contract
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite/Hybrid)

 

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced WebMethods Developer with strong expertise in Apache Camel and Kafka-based enterprise integrations. The consultant will be responsible for building scalable, event-driven integration solutions and API services across distributed enterprise systems.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Software AG WebMethods
• WebMethods Integration Server
• Apache Kafka
• Apache Camel
• REST/SOAP APIs
• Java
• XML / JSON
• Experience with:
• Event-driven architecture
• Middleware integration
• Microservices architecture
• Message queues and streaming platforms
• API development & integration patterns
• Data transformation and routing

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integration solutions using WebMethods Integration Server.
• Build and support REST/SOAP services for enterprise applications.
• Develop Kafka producers/consumers for real-time messaging.
• Create Apache Camel routes for transformation, mediation, and routing.
• Integrate ERP, CRM, databases, and cloud applications.
• Troubleshoot and optimize integration workflows.
• Support production deployments and CI/CD processes.

Preferred Skills

• Docker / Kubernetes
• AWS or Azure exposure
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Spring Boot / Microservices
• Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL

Experience

• 8+ years of integration development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on WebMethods experience
• Strong Kafka & Apache Camel implementation experience
