What You'll Do
Technical
Leadership
- Provide technical leadership
and mentorship to AEM development teams, driving best practices in DevOps,
Cloud, and Agile delivery.
- Conduct code reviews and
establish engineering standards across the development lifecycle.
- Monitor application health,
implement observability and diagnostics, and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay current with AEM features,
cloud services, and Adobe Experience Cloud advancements.
Architecture &
Development
- Design, develop, and support
AEM components, integrations, and applications for building NYC.gov
websites.
- Lead AEM Sites, Assets, Sling
Jobs, and workflow implementation across the platform.
- Architect and configure
Dispatcher, caching strategies, and performance tuning to optimize
delivery.
- Manage deployments to AEM Cloud
Service and on-premises environments.
Stakeholder
Collaboration
- Collaborate with business and
product teams to define requirements, identify risks, and deliver
maintainable solutions.
- Translate complex technical
requirements into scalable AEM architecture.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies
and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Required
Qualifications
Candidates must
meet ALL of the following requirements to be considered:
- 8+ years of hands-on AEM
development experience (AEM Sites, Assets, Sling Jobs, Workflows)
- Proven technical leadership:
mentoring teams, code reviews, and driving engineering best practices
- Deep expertise in Java, Sling,
OSGi, HTL (Sightly), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of Dispatcher
configuration, caching techniques, and performance optimization
- Experience deploying websites
to AEM Cloud Service and on-premises installations
- Proficiency with CI/CD
pipelines and DevOps tooling (Git, Maven, Jenkins, or equivalents)
- Experience collaborating with
business stakeholders to define and deliver AEM solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and
production incident resolution skills in AEM environments
- Familiarity with Agile
development practices and team collaboration tools
Preferred
Qualifications
These skills are
not required but will strengthen your candidacy:
- Experience with Adobe Target
for personalization and A/B testing
- Integration experience with
Adobe Analytics and AEM
- Familiarity with Akamai Content
Delivery Network (CDN) for website optimization
- Experience with language
translation integrations (e.g., Smartling, TransPerfect)
- Experience with enterprise
search platforms (e.g., Coveo, Solr)
