very nice. amazing video / interview / info / conversation, which can increase the understanding, elevate the awareness, on all sides. our hats off to both.
we see that both agree regarding the need to nourish, to strengthen the roots, etc, esp in india.
and if the govt is unable to do so, feels impotent or tethered to other interests in undesirable ways, then the responsibility and its weight falls more heavily on those outside the govt, including common people, until at least govt itself also feels compelled to act in more effective manner, while definitely abandoning the damaging ways. ??????????
shree Rajiv ji has been doing a fantastic great job in these various videos, impressing all of us with the topics being discussed, as well as potentially (or at least hopefully) creating a good positive forward-looking, positive impact producing type influence with the personalities or thought leaders or others being interviewed. ???
regarding the subject of Vedanta and Shastra perspective for examination of holy books and figures etc of other religions, like Christianity and Islam, perhaps, it has been going on for a thousand plus years (in kerala, in Kashmir, in Bengal etc ???) and continuing ??? on both sides ??? the hindu side and the other sides ??? and, that is fine, nothing wrong with it.
and surely, it must be possible to give Shastra understanding or interpretations, irrespective of, but heeding to, how the other religions, their holy books, their practices, their history, relate to hindus / Hinduism.
and, when the understanding or interpretation is not possible or is lacking, it is likely that there are some unknowns or hidden factors or lack of knowledge, facts, issues, situations, info etc ????? if not, there could be danger of being taken advantage of in damaging way or falling prey to ignorance and / or arrogance, perhaps ????
movement of ideas, adoption of ideas, adaptation etc is also part of human nature. it is hard to go against it, and, hopefully there is no need to do that, esp for future progression.
whatever be the motives, there are usually influences and impacts that occur, short term and long term, arising out of interactions between groups or religions or cultures or societies or nations etc..
so, the question arises as to how best to utilize this natural tendency by engaging with it, by participating in a good practical way, and hopefully trying to push it forward in service to truth and dharma, for the betterment of all. ????
