in the old photo here we see, my uncle (father's younger brother) appachchi Mahalinga Bhat H & family sitting with us at his Karinja Halemane house in Ednad village, India, in 1989 perhaps, or was this in 1992, (?), photo taken when we visited. It is, from left to right, Murali Krishna, Appachchi uncle, Shilpi, Raya (me), Kaviraj, Chikkamma Sumathi aunt.

In the 1992 visit, I think, we all, including my wife Usha (and others, perhaps) had gone there, but not in photo. In 1989, my wife Usha had stayed back in USA that time, in 1989 Nov - Dec time preparing for her qualifying exam at Rutgers University for her graduate degree, and I had to go to India to attend the IEEE TENCON conference in Mumbai where I gave a 3-hour lecture workshop on Optical Fiber Communications, so I took the two young boys with me, so that our families there get an opportunity to see them and vice versa.
