Thirumala Raya Halemane, maybe your observations are correct. But we need to deep drive to find the truth. Indian history is altered by many distortarians we assume as historians. They were with a single motive to diminish Sanatan pride and glorify the invaders. Else see it's very little known King Ashoka was converted to Buddhism much before he ascended the throne killing or imprisoning his elders like Aurangzeb did centuries later. The massacre of Kalinga was not by Sanatan Ashoka but by Buddhist Ashoka, and that also not all Buddhism is in the cause of influence, but the Buddhism of Afghanistan being the influence.

I understand "venting" and its de-stressing benefits instead of the harm stress does if internalized, especially when stress is caused because of friction with power over which you have no ways to fight back and redeem yourself or what you feel is rightfully yours. However my approach to such situations is, and has been, somewhat different than what we may see around often or usually. I follow what we call as dharma, swa-dharma for me, and so far I have been fully satisfied in doing so, etc, although others may think I have been somewhat stupid in not being able to advance higher according to their sense of success etc. If so, then, so be it. I am not going by those measurements.

However, even then, I needed to "handle" brick-bats or stones or balls or arrows thrown at me from different directions, whether deliberately or induced or influenced or inevitably due to past history or manufactured or other types etc. And, as I wrote to my elder brother years ago, (maybe 1990s), I learnt to "move" rapidly, in my thinking, from one level to another, thus reducing the stress on myself, not willing to shoulder any more responsibility than I had to as my individual self only if that was needed, because I saw that various people, including family, friends, others, had their own expectations about me, what I should be doing etc, and like every person, I have my different roles, like being a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a relative, a friend, a neighbor, a community member, a student, a teacher, an employee, a citizen, etc etc, and we all have to "handle" our duties and responsibilities for all the roles we are in, to whatever extent we can, with all the pluses, minuses, limitations, biases, desires, egos, arrogances, others helping, others hurting etc, all included, trying to do the best we can, = and that's all we can do, not everything is in one person's hand or ability.

Hmmm... Yes. And false accusations are even made by individuals who may justify it to themselves and those around them in the name of justifiable "politics" for manufacturing perceptions for helping in their agendas, (and I have seen it happen, with our temple efforts in New Jersey, during HTCS-HATCC merger talks, with people pushing for such a goal, to eliminate HATCC, to help the agenda of HTCS by deliberately bad-mouthing HATCC, its leaders, objectives etc, even mis-representations, false accusations also, back in 1990-91, early 1990s timeframe. The Indian American community here has come a long way since then; much transformation has happened.

Our temple effort, with its own community-internal & external politics, here in New Jersey, and its influence & impacts, here and beyond, including in USA, India, worldwide, on Hindus, Indians, as well as others, all people, has been pivotal, served as turning point, transformation catalyst, since 1987, and has opened up new ways, new possibilities, new views, new attitudes, new approaches for doing things, for life and living !!! And, one might add, for good & bad, whether you like it or not, but it is kind of inevitable, no other choice so to say, and is for Truth & Dharma, natural progress.

In any case, it can happen in lots of different ways, by one person telling another, amd onwards, ..like that ,, and suddenly, as if by magic, something happens, get a call or be introduced, etc, and it goes forward well. Usually, a third party intermediary is always there, someone often not deliberately perhaps, can be credited for pulling the boy and the girl together, for example, the secretary or even the computer or providence say, who put the two individuals in the same section of the class.. etc.. we can call it good luck also, PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS. that's all i am asking. it is very easy to help me. It looks like they have found their-style solution to the male-female companionship or sexual satisfaction type missing factors in people's lives, which is not a "fully-solved" problem anywhere, perhaps we can say, including various civilizations, religions, cultures, nations, tribes, families, individuals etc and lots of conflicts have causes arising from it or related to it life & living having much to do with it also.

It appears that our periods of attendance at the U of R overlap, as I graduated with a BA in Art History in 1977 — albeit beyond my best education being life itself, I found too many professors more interested in their agendas rather than those of their students! The horrific weather did not help matters, either! Nor, did the fact that the most “popular” student on the River Campus was a drug dealer! Frankly, the U of R I believe is better known for its graduate programs.

Hmmm.. Yes, Okay, Thank You. I was in the graduate program, Physics and Math, my wife was transfer-student from India for undergraduate, then did 3-2 program for MBA also. We lived in GLC Graduate Living Center and University Park apartments Yes, the weather, biting cold and lots of snow, was also new to us, coming from southern India, besides the then common "culture shock", and we braved it all, of course. Nowadays, culture shock is not there or much, much, smaller, so not usually talked about. It is a different world, we might say. Best Wishes.

"what you are is what matters, not what your intention" etc during those days. His responses, good real info, & ALL HELP there deeply crucial, hugely helpful, to analyze, to understand our situation, to move forward. He helped greatly with HATCC temple efforts also. My huge gratitude to him.

Ramveer Tanwar (Pond Man), you have an EXCELLENT point, and it is time to introduce these ideas for recycling on much stronger footing than is currently done, and make the possible material gains, precious resources also in the process, in addition to the much-needed cleanliness, health considerations. One way would be to start fresh new entire Department devoted to Recycling related discipline in educational institutions so that there is much focused study, research, application in these areas. All the Best. Good Luck. Do Well. Be Brave. Be Wise. Take Care. Best Wishes. Aummm.. Laws also can be re-done to encourage manufacturers to invest in related recycling units in ways reducing negative impacts on them.

Dear Vedveer Arya, I think it is very likely that King Ashoka was partially non-Indian, his over-aggressive extremely violent war campaigns, behaviors against people, including the Kalinga war suggests it too. perhaps his mother was of some Greek ancestry (Alexander's general's daughter or some such ???0, and it seems he spent his early young years in Northwestern India and it is very likely that he would have absorbed more of such traits from Afghanistan regions since some communities there have such closer to European style heritage, I think. And false accusations are even made by individuals who may justify it to themselves and those around them in the name of justifiable "politics" for manufacturing perceptions for helping in their agendas, (and I have seen it happen, with our temple efforts in New Jersey, during HTCS-HATCC merger talks, with people pushing for such a goal, to eliminate HATCC, to help the agenda of HTCS by deliberately bad-mouthing HATCC, its leaders, objectives etc, even mis-representations, false accusations also, back in 1990-91, early 1990s timeframe. The Indian American community here has come a long way since then; much transformation has happened.

Hmmm.. Okay. It is for my son Kaviraj. and, I guess, we can say that there is a first time for everything. In any case, it can happen in lots of different ways, by one person telling another, amd onwards, ..like that ,, and suddenly, as if by magic, something happens, get a call or be introduced, etc, and it goes forward well. Usually, a third party intermediary is always there, someone often not deliberately perhaps, can be credited for pulling the boy and the girl together, for example, the secretary or even the computer or providence say, who put the two individuals in the same section of the class.. etc.. we can call it good luck also, PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS. that's all i am asking. it is very easy to help me.
