And, it reminded me what my elder brother went through at AT&T Bell Labs in 1986 or so (after I also had joined there, thanks to his helpful efforts, exploring, advising, recommending).   

His Supervisor, Dr Ved Gupta, complained that my brother Dr Keshava Prasad Halemane was "unable to estimate well" the time needed for the software task, because he would complete the task very quickly vs the expected time, gave a bad performance review. It made my brother very unhappy that he took it as an opportunity to leave,, get some academic experience. He secured a faculty position at University of Maryland in College Park MD, and left the company, eventually moving back to India,   

Of course, he was "psychologically targeted" by the management at Bell Labs, and behind-the-scenes invisible forces, for their own agendas (not uncommon type politics and power play then we can say, or even now perhaps, but it is a world in transformation, changing fast in these decades),   ps= YES, OUR SONS SUFFERED, WERE TARGETED, YES = PLEASE HELP.
