Sudha, here is, in English, aanu ninne ninage hEliddu, instagram call lli maathaaDuvaga, the news from here, what I mentioned to you in yesterday Oct 27 instagram call.
On Saturday October 18, Usha and I, along with her mother Kailar atthe, we attended the Havyaka Diwali DeepaavaLi event (we took mElara for our oota contribution) at Chinmaya center Madhuvan In Yardley / Morrisville PA, about half hour drive from here.
There, after programs on the stage ended, while people were beginning to eat, I took the opportunity to personally honor our friends Gajanan Hegde with two friendly, honoring, admiration, respect, appreciation "aathmeeya prashamse" titles, namely. "PRADHAN HAVEEKA WORLDWIDE" and "CHINMAYA VRDDHI NAYAKA". I had this written on card-board type paper and presented to him along with honoring symbolic gifts, namely, garlanding him with an ornament chain, presenting a khadi white munDu and a colorful lungi on his shoulders similar to "shaalu hodeshuva krama" style, also giving him an envelope with $8.88 money inside.
I did this after initially showing him two photos which showed him and others in our then house in Howell NJ, when they had come attending a Havyaka get together, decades ago, perhaps in late 1980s or early 1990s, then he was a bachelor, a few others like Praveen Dala also seen in photo. He also recalled our knowing each other, friendship beginning from many years ago, and appreciated the photos, During this honoring process there, i requested, encouraged, the individuals standing nearby, around us, to join us, as the audience. and was happy to see mobile phone video being taken of it.
Later on, after the meals were almost done, they asked me if I would like to do the honoring of Gajanan Hegde in front of the rest of the people still there in the dining area, and I answered YES, and so I said the whole honoring thing again in front of everybody there to see and listen, with both Gajanan and I standing before them (the gifts were already given, so I just mentioned it), and we received lots of good appreciation from them all for it.
The white khadi is a symbol of self-reliance "swaavalambaneya pratheeka", and my father-in-law liked color lungi, Initially I wanted to give the money envelope to Vidya and gave to Gajanan to do so instead, it was easier for me to do in that way. His wife Vidya & family automatically included by it of course.
Back in 1990s or so, for some years Havyaka association here in our area went through a tough period when people were reluctant to volunteer, to participate etc. At first it was Madeyala Bheem Bhat & family and later it was Gajanan Hegde & family who were serving as the needed supportive people, strong pillars, volunteering, leading, at those tough times, and Gajanan has continued doing so, even in the background all these years.
Years ago, there was an online group called Havyaka World, and then Havyaka Worldwide online group was formed. I think it was our Rajendra who got me involved with both, we were doing online discussions, So, using that name, I came up with "Pradhaan Haveeka Worldwide" as a good honoring title some days ago. Pradhan indicates important or impactful type role, like it comes in pradhana mantri etc.
Gajanan Hegde has also helped the Chinmaya organization very much, directly at their Cranbury NJ center nearby here helping with their music concerts programs, sound system etc, and also indirectly by impact, They have been doing very well in terms of volunteers support, activities participation, progress etc here and elsewhere, judging from what I see, my opinion, of course. Besides this connection to their center or organization, the title "Chinmaya Vrddhi Nayaka" has good spiritual meaning also.
Our elder brother doDDaNNa was also a supporter and participant in Chinmaya Mission during his years in USA. In addition to Rajendra, our other family, mother, siblings and bhaava were also involved in some ways with my interactions with the Havyaka organizations in India. Also, others, cousins, friends, and relatives.
That's how I chose those two specific honoring titles for Sri Gajanan Hegde. I have been thinking and preparing about the titles and how to do it stuff details etc for the last few weeks or so, and wanted, decided to make good use of the Diwali event opportunity for it.
Last Saturday afternoon, October 25, there was a CMANA Carnatic music vocal concert, Sikkil Gurucharan, and Usha, Kailar atthe and I attended. I encouraged Usha to buy ticket for her mother also, and she did so. It all went fine.
Earlier, a few weeks ago, Usha and I attended a CMANA vocal concert also, and Kavi stayed home also attending to Kailar ajji's looking after needs, keeping her occupied, entertained And on the way to the concert we stopped by West Windsor Public Library and I dropped off to them, carried inside and gave two boxes of donation items there. The two boxes were initially meant for Mercer County Community College MCCC Library, made ready loke over two years ago, Kavi and I had attempted to give it to them then, we had gone to the college campus, (after donating boxes at another place), but had difficulty finding the exact college building and for parking there, so we were tired, frustrated, and gave up and came back, so the boxes were in our garage for over two years as I was unable to get it done. In the mean time with MCCC library no longer accepting donations, i was re-directed by them to county library, and so donation went to West Windsor Public Library instead. I was happy to get that done.
Years ago, MCCC had helped me by giving teaching opportunities (part-time) there, (and I did well in them), when I was much in need of it, and after taking computer courses there and in RVCC on Computer IT topics that were in good demand then, I needed to break through the forces that were deliberately hostile to us, that were "blocking" me from jobs, making us frustrated and helpless, (!!!). Navigating the situation in practical ways had its own many challenges.

Sudha, as I also mentioned on our call chat, I also gave away, at that Havyaka Diwali event gathering, initially, some (like approx. 10 or so perhaps) music audio cassettes and music CDs we had here in our collection, as DeepaavaLi gift, kind of randomly to individuals there. I had done similarly twice previously also, first at a CMANA concert at Navaratri time in 2023 perhaps, as Navaratri gift, and about a year or so ago, sometime in 2024 perhaps, I similarly gave away some at the HATCC temple cafeteria in Morganville, as just gift, (no specific occasion), when we had gone there on some weekend or so. And, whatever I had collected together and kept separately, but still remaining with me, I was taking this opportunity to give away. So, I was happy it was done.

Gajanan Hegde is the person standing on the right in the first photo and on the left in the second photo sitting on sofa. Praveen Dala is standing on the left in first photo, at our then house in Howell NJ, looks like this may actually be from mid 1990s perhaps, because the second photo with sofa is in the newly constructed family room which was finished in approx. Springtime in1996, I think. The third photo is of Kaviraj and Shilpi singing shlokas at the Havyaka Convention gathering in Chicago, it was in 1990 I think
