idu Sharavati project Enendu nanage sari goththaagalilla, not understanding it well or fully in this, but some damage, loss of dry land, damage to existing environment, and creating a new local environmental ecological balance in that region is inevitable in such projects. Two things come to mind. One is the controversial Netravati project for bringing water towards the east over the ghats, to Kolar or so, the other is an existing deep under the mountain hydroelectric facility in Idukki in Kerala (not sure about its details, what it does etc) 9:04 AM

OoooooooooooO, that is BAD BAD BAD news. It is a project for wrecking the district, for sure. I felt similar was the case with that Netravati project. It is the best to oppose it, as the politicians involved are likely to have other agenda PRESSURES on them and so that's why they are behaving like that. One former CM, Shree Sadananda Gowda was "pressured" to approve the Netravati project, by manufacturing (?) or threatening his son's arrest (which will likely get him beaten up and maimed in the police station etc) and case against him, my thinking or guess on it, he is blamed for it by dakshina Kannada people, that CM was from DK district only

pranav, it is a correct observation regarding garbage, but the understanding given there that "CIVIC SENSE" IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IN INDIA is not correct. The explanation has to do with history, and how modern times in Indian Civilization has evolved, in skewed ways, over history, especially, since the advance of foreign religions and foreign rules over India in the last 2000 years, and which was not a free natural=to=India type evolution, and therefore, it has a more "global", but skewed, type flavor in its evolution, because of the universal nature of Indian philosophy, "vasudaiva kutumbakam", that was abused against India, still continuing, by the foreign religions and rulers, and it has affected us, all of us, and the whole world also has been affected, both in positive ways as well as negative ways. I can write more, explain more, if needed, but the short answer is the modern style of living, including in towns and cities, was not prevalent in India or the world, a few centuries ago. So, these problems did not exist then, and the flow of time was such that "development" or evolution towards modern life has happened in skewed ways, negatively affecting Indian Civilization life, because that was the deliberate, targeted goal, agenda of the foreign-origin rulers.

pranav, i understand the unhappiness or anger with M K Gandhi here, but there is a lot more to it regarding Gandhi's previous experiences and hardships that he underwent, which made him the kind of individual he was at that stage in life. From what I have read, there was some foreign individual friend (very likely targeted by that intelligence agent, who he was working for) of his who basically entrapped him into a homosexual type relationship, Gandhi was psychologically "taken over" by him. as is mentioned in some letter that Gandhi wrote to him. (these kinds of info are generally not well publicized, so not well known). It would have pushed down the consciousness level, from which to rise up, Gandhi would have struggled like this for some kind of "sadhana" like this, for his own self, without realizing how he was affecting the others, "victimized" in this respect, and behaving badly as the leader of Indian Civilization, to which position he was more or less pushed into by the forces which were operating around him, including the British, also the Indian Royals, and the Indian and foreign Deep States, not just the Indian common man, for whom he was high up there as a Mahatma, but it was not a place where they can hope to get to, or even wanted to get to, since their participation in the struggle for freedom was just that, "swarajya", not suppression, not colonial rule, not evil kind of discrimination etc. So, the issue is much bigger than what is usually presented as by anti-Gandhi and pro-Gandhi forces. TRUTH is much much much deeper and wider, lots of it not fully known etc. !!!!!

Hmmm... puNyakoti dana (cow) song, perhaps. Yes, we had many beautiful poems and stories etc etc in our Kannada language classes. And, the Kannada textbooks we had in Kerala (Kasaragod region were as good as, if not better than, what was in then Mysore state, now Karnataka State), many local great literary giants were also there.
