(my Note here) =
In the below mentioned video chat, I explained to her (Amrita Singh) why I have a high opinion about the University of Texas at Austin.

Back in the 1970s when I was a graduate student in Physics at University of Rochester, Rochester NY, one of our Indian Physicist heroes was Dr E C George Sudarshan, and he was at University of Texas at Austin, in a great job as Director of Its center or facility in Particle Physics. He did PhD at U of R in the 1950s, also came to U of R once when I was there, on occasion of a special symposium in physics dept, which I also attended, and his lecture was also in it, which also I attended (never met him personally or talked to him directly).

He was from Kerala in India, Christian initially, married a Hindu lady, then converted to Hindu religion, adding the name Sudarshan to his name, having read & learned extensively about shastras and Hinduism, that was our understanding among the Indian students.

We thought he would get the Nobel Prize in Physics. But of course there is much politics in awarding that prize, and he was not among the selected. He passed away a few years ago,

Much later, in early or mid 1990s or so it was perhaps, I had opportunity to hear a talk by him at the Arsha Vidya Gurukulam in Saylorsburg, PA of Swamiji Dayananda Saraswathi, when they had organized a one day symposium or series of talks, and he was like the main attraction. I think Shree Rajiv Malhotra and Prof Subhash Kak were also among those who gave lectures. It was some time after I was fired from AT&T Bell Labs in 1992, a year or two or so later, very likely. I also remember talking to Prof Subhash Kak at the lunch table, talking to him briefly on the topic of his lecture, he was on the same lunch table as me).

At his lecture, in the Q&A part at the end,  Prof  E C G Sudarshan had mentioned that he is a "card carrying" member of the science community (or should it be interpreted as "establishment",  ??? = my thinking now, answer = maybe so a bit or partially only, not fully anyways), and so he is not in a position to associate more strongly with Vedanta or Hinduism, something like that. I remember that phrase very well, "card carrying ", which he used. This, of course, was not a surprise for any of us, to the audience. Hindus or Brahmins or Indians expected to be treated as lower or less fairly, in scientific circles.

At the time, all religions, traditions, spirituality etc. was not much respected, were considered as not scientific. So, too strong an association with any of it or with any such background that you may have, was a negative factor for a successful job or career in science, engineering etc. So, his comment came across as a natural admission of the truth that we all knew, it was not like a shock or surprise. That he had come there and given a good lecture, with such a positive attitude, respect for the shastras, traditions, Vedanta, and the Swamiji, was in itself considered as a great thing, BEAUTIFUL, and It was much appreciated by one and all.

Our friends Veda & V I Gundanna's son Mukund Gundanna studied medicine there at University of Texas, Austin.

They all (Gundanna family) contributed greatly to the various temple efforts in New Jersey, starting with our HATCC organization,  for which the physical temple was first set up in their house basement in Matawan NJ. They were strong supporters, hard workers, great volunteers, dedicated leaders, fantastic contributors = EXCELLENT, UNIQUE, EXTRAORDINARY, EXCEPTIONAL, OUTSTANDING, .. ALL BEAUTIFUL ..

Our Hats off, Our Many Thanks, Regards, Namaskaars-PraNaams and Best Wishes to them (Sir Shree V I Gundanna avarugaLu Ji Sir & Smt Veda & family) and all family, others involved, helping, supporting etc., and to all,

Wishing you a happy new year, whether you're celebrating Vishu, Puthandu, Vaisakhi, or Bihu this week

Dear Trhalemane,

One great reason that keeps us motivated at Swarajya is that our readers truly have an eclectic reading habit.

We publish what we do because we think discussing these themes will contribute to dreaming a bigger dream for India. And we don't just deal in dreams, we get down to the nuts and bolts of how to get there. Please do support us by subscribing.

For example, in just the last week, we've published stories about why India's engineering colleges are coaching centres with better furnitureTamil Nadu's ambition to reclaim the sea with shipbuildingwhy India needs a separate Rocket Forcehow to think about Ola's LFP battery claims, and NavIC's clock crisis and the Indian clocks that could fix it.

None of this is clickbait. None of this is manufactured outrage. None of this is populist. And yet our readers have backed us consistently through readership and subscriptions.

You are of course one amongst our readers. Would you mind supporting our work at Swarajya? Your readership and your subscription are a powerful motivator to publish a magazine for the intelligent Indian.

And there's no better time than now to subscribe and become a print + digital subscriber. Because, the print subscription is now available at the same price as the digital-only subscription. Yes, you heard that right -- monthly print copies, unlimited digital access via website and apps, podcasts, and a lot more -- all of it for the same price as the digital subscription.

For a limited time, all subscriptions through the link above will receive a T-shirt of their choice worth Rs 700 from the Swarajya store FREE.

Click to subscribe and support us.

— Team Swarajya

P.S. If you've been thinking about a longer commitment, our Lifetime subscription is currently available at ₹5,000 (originally ₹9,999 + GST). Worth considering.

·        Holy Mt. Kailas (Axis Mundi) has balanced earth into 23.5 degree tilt.

·        All the 64 Jyotirling emerged in Nepal from the cosmos. And, 4 Dham- the most holy pilgrimage sites for human beings is in Nepal; Muktikshetra, Ruru Kshertra, Pashupat Kshetra, Baraha Kshetra.

·        The origin place of human beings, vedic culture and the cradle of human civilization

·        World’s first national flag (7600 yrs old) is flickering with pride till this date. Similarly, Nepalese currency ‘pashupatinath’ is the first currency of human beings and daura-suruwal / sari- cholo is the first dress of human civilization.

·        Himalaya- home to Asta chiranjivi (the eight immortal souls), Asta Matrika (the eight mother goddess), Astanaag (the eight serpent energy), Ashta Bhairav (the divine soldiers).

Uttargaya- where the first word emerged on earth.

·        The land of Rudraksha (the holy bead, first fruit on earth ‘Bel’ (mamelous) and the holy Saligram.

·        Nepal is the land of yantra- Mantra and Tantra. Pious Gayatri mantra and Mahamrityunjaya mantra were composed.

·       ‘Devbhasa’ Sanskrit – the mother of all the languages started from Nepal.

·        The 4 Vedas and 18 Purans were composed in Nepal. These are the source of all the literature, scientific discoveries and all the religious sects.

·        Where from yoga-meditation- Ayurveda, astrology- astronomy, feng shui etc started.

·             Nalanda University, the first and the biggest university in the world, was the only     center for learning.  And, it lies in Greater Nepal.

·        In fact, the key source of all the scientific discoveries were taken from Nepal. So, airplanes, Internet, computer, Mobile, Electricity, X-ray machines etc became possible.

·        Nepal taught the world- Trigonometry (Trikonmiti), Geometry (Jyamiti), technology (taknik), Meta rules (Iko Yanichi), Aligorith (Panini Sutra), mathematics, Pai value, philosophy, physics etc.

·        The time zone starts from Gaurishankar Himal.

·        All the religious symbols; AUM, Swastik, Saraswoti sign (david star), Trident, Serpent energy, Garuda, Shree Yantra etc started from Nepal.

·        Kirats of eastern Nepal are the ancestors of Chinese, Korean and Japanese. Aryans of Julma valley are the ancestors of Russian, Iranian and Europeans.

·        Muni Sukracharya of Trivenidham Nepal is the ‘Allah’ of Muslims. Aurab Rishi taught Vedic wisdom to Arabians, Hence the name ‘Arab’ derives from Aurab Rishi. Similarly, Kaudinya Rishi

taught vedic wisdom to eastern asia- Cambodia derives from Kaudinya Rishi’s name.

·        Jesus Christ spent 18 years of mysterious life time in Nepal, studied vedic wisdom, Chrishna + nity (teachings of Krishna) = Christianity. He had received enlightenment at Ruru Rishikesh, Nepal.

·        God created humans in Kusheshwordham’ Nepal on Utpatika Ekadashi and provided seed grains for us on Balachaturdashi tithi. Thus, ‘Garden of Eden’ lies in Nepal. And dissolution shall occur once Tripur is connected (Raipur- Kantipur- Rangapur) through Gorkha Samrajya map.  Very soon, the world will know Suryabanshi Kingship (Sinarhia Kingdom), Gorkah Samrajya spreading 564,630 sq.km

Therefore, world peace is next to impossible unless and until peace prevails in Gorkha Adhirajya (Nepal).  May you track back historical evidence and eventually you arrive in Nepal.

May you all be known!

some highlighted titbits:
Me:
Fwd =
(1) Bidyut,  That is good work, although I am not fully sure if their objective is to increase the fighting. But whatever it is, the youth in India as well as Bangladesh, and the world, needs to speak out against unfair treatment of innocent Hindus that is often ignored by all, EVERYWHERE, including the western media and powers, By the way, do you know him (Dr Richard Benkin) ?

(2) Bidyut, I viewed the video (Hriday Raval) interviewing him (Dr Richard Benkin), and Lalit Jha and his article. He is more like some of the other western journalists, speaking for Hindus in India and elsewhere, but are in fact agents of the western power structure, not really for Hinduism or for Dharma, they have limited understanding of how the religions and cultures of the East have been shaped because of Western colonialism and its continuing after effects in the present era. It is good that they are pro-Hindu, but it would be a mistake to fall behind them completely or in full. Bangladesh and India have to come up with their own solutions to the issues facing them.

(3) And Awami League party is very likely like the Congress Party in India, left-over stuff from past history with both good and bad, Just like India needs to move on to the future without the Congress Party, Bangladesh, very likely has to move on to the future without the Awami League, my guess. Good, Fair elections do not necessarily need parties with questionable credentials andor hidden controls over them. But they need good candidates, from all parties, and Independents also, to represent the people in the best fashion and to provide good governance. Jai Bangladesh. So, please work more towards these in ways possible, wisely, bravely, strategically, and achieve success. Jai Ho.

Bidyut Sarker   3:29 PM
Minorities in Muslim countries were always in trouble, you could see similar situations in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Egypt and even Iraq.

Me:
Yes, Bidyut, most Muslims have that "strict Islamic view", and those countries have such objectives, that if the whole world is converted to Islam, then only it will be a better world, just world, fair world etc, maybe even like a Dharmic Islamic type view in some sense, but which allows or encourages violence and elimination of others, even innocents who follow other religions etc. Dr Richard Benkin also made this point in that interview video I mentioned, and so the situation is most complicated, for Modi, for everyone.

Me:
Interesting, although not fully surprising. He is, of course, a "Moderate" type figure, and that's why or how he got elected. So we expect that in the future there will be moderation of extremist views in all areas of life, religions, politics etc, but that also requires full participation from the youth, the next generations everywhere, all over the world, and actively providing guard rails against advancing in the undesirable wrong directions, the evil tendencies in whatever reason or pre-text etc. Thanks for forwarding, Bidyut.

Me:
Hmmm,,, Yes... frictions, tensions, struggles,  philosophies at odds with each other, ... not easy .. also perceptions manufacturing for creating behaviors, even fake news, staged happenings etc possible too .. we try to do the best we can, we hope and pray for the best.  for any individual it is not possible to do more than that, cannot expect much more, limitations also can be expected ... rest is DESTINY ..

Me:
At issue here, it looks like, how power is wielded in the world, almost by all sides, by everyone, for wanting to continue to stay in control or fight for your agenda etc,

And, of course it (what we see around us) is not dharmic or truthful, perception manufacturing is the norm  and for the rest of us common people it is about survival and some progress hopefully, and the world is changing, fast transformation in current times,

And there is no going back to the past situations' status quo or the kingdom times that saw empires, colonies, racism, ethnic cleansing, suppressions, sexism etc, type evils (considered as even necessary or as inevitable side-effect collateral damage payment for order and success, unfortunately or in some quarters, looks like).

Yes, how to adjust to changing times is a challenge we all face, We hope and pray for the Best. Best Wishes, Aummm.. Jai prajaa-prabhutwa dharma democracy by the people for the people of the people.

And, it also means religion is a personal and individual and family matter, chosen and held or changed voluntarily, with freedom and liberty, even in bits and pieces from different existing religions or new ideas etc, whereas previously, religions were "defined" as helping the society or the people to live well under the prevailing ruling situations, "the just royal rule at its best", say, which is raaja-dharma.

But, of course, we see that the baggage of history is unavoidable, negative consequences impacting from it.

Do Well, All the Best. Be Brave. Be Wise. Take Care. Best Wishes. Aummm.. We hope and pray for the best.

Me:
Yes, Very Nice, Happy to see things getting worked out better

Me
.. Very interesting article, and read the comments also. It is now much clearer that the then UK & USA jointly-linked Deep States were involved in killing President FDR by poisoning, fomenting the Civil War between Northern and Southern states, assassination of President Lincoln, and other figures like President Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, attempted assassination of President Reagan etv and possibly many other mysterious happenings, manipulations and so on, including terrorizations (like Son of Sam public murder shootings in 1970s, various political and military happenings etc
