Mobile Application Developers for exciting multi-faceted project needed NOW

Posted date [07/03/12] (ID: 73)

You:

A professional mobile application developer who thrives in an agile, fast paced environment, and is a team player. Creativity and inventiveness are mandatory to succeed in this endeavor.

You have a minimum of 1 yr experience in Android development OR 1 yr in iOS development. (We are looking for several people so whether you have one or both as a skill, we're interested.)

Better yet, you have a background in Java (multi-threaded development incl. async will make us really smile), RESTful services, and the ability to use SVN (revision control), Jira and are comfortable with SCRUM..

You could really wow us with some understanding or experience with web-based development (xml, php), client-server based communication and automated testing (writing tests, analyzing results).

Add knowledge of Geo location services (Google API), wireless telecommunications (GSM & CDMA basics, Blue Tooth) or possibly even integration with social networking tools, and you'll definitely hear from us!

Icing on the cake would be a strong visual sense with good design ideas for UI improvements - but you don't have to be a 'graphic artist'!

If you think you've got what it takes to be a team lead or dev manager, please indicate that too.

Us:

Universal TranWare is a well established high-tech company with a North America-wide presence and large clientele, doing some exciting R&D and currently building out a killer dev and creative environment and team in the Bellingham area.

This team will support, advance, and bring innovation to the technology of an established, successful and rapidly growing company, primarily on the 'mobile' and middleware side of the business.

Now is the time to join us if you want to be challenged,  to grow, and possibly to lead. . . We're stable and established, but small enough to acknowlege our people as the individuals they are.   We’re growing and innovative but not too 'corporate' in our culture.

Our existing systems combine location based services and tracking, communication with some legacy systems and middleware (java based), reaching out to other web services, mobile payment processing and security, PTT voip, interesting UI challenges, both commercial AND consumer facing applications... and it's time to take it further.

We don't need someone to build a 'cute little app'!   This challenge is complex, innovative and exciting yet requires high reliability and usability. We lead our market - and intend to keep leading.

Compensation package will depend on skill, experience and can be generous.

Send us your resume, but grab our attention with your personality and passion!

Thanks!
