Dear Prabhus and matajis,
PAMHO. AGTSP.
I received a surprise call from GM today at around 8 30 pm from the
hospital.
GM called to inform us that the surgical procedure was successfully
performed and the Doctor apparently said that the whole procedure happened
smoothly due to the blessing of the Lord and prayers of the devotees.
GM who is still in the hospital is under observation and medication called
to thank all of you for your prayers, chanting and services that you are
performing so nicely. and GM feels that only because of this the operation
happened so successfully. I responded by saying that he need not thank us
as it is the duty of the disciple to offer everything always to the Guru
and pray for the Guru's welfare and success. I mentioned to him that many
of the devotee here will be very happy and relieved to hear this news and
many will have tears of joy and gratitude towards the Lord for the mercy He
is showing.
And in a moment GM's mood changed and he started asking me about the
preparations for the marathon!! He wanted to know if the marathon was
already launched and would everybody take part in the marathon. He
specifically wanted to know what targets the BV and the BACEs have for the
marathon. He mentioned that it is important to have targets. He wanted to
know what plans we have for the marathon. He gave a few more tips/
suggestions and ideas on how to proceed( I shall share them in the next
mail)
I assured him that everyone of us here is taking the marathon seriously and
our simple formula is that everybody goes out every day atleast for a
short while. I also mentioned to him that the real spirit and enthusiasm
is yet to pick up and it would happen now after his call. He made it clear
as how important the marathon is for him and how he wants the BV and the
BACES to take this up seriously.
He called just as we were finishing the chanting of the Bhagavad GIta and I
mentioned to him about the timing of his call. I mentione to him that his
voice was now being heard by all the devotees who had assembled to chant
the gita. He was happy to hear this and he loudly chanted Haribol a couple
of times. I mentioned to him that I would update him regularly about the
progress of the marathon and provide circle wise scores.
He mentioned that he was offering his most loving and affectionate
blessings for all the devotees of the Narasimha GIridhari mandir and when I
mentioned that we were are all waiting for him to visit Bangalore, he
immediately replied that he really looks forward to his visit to Bangalore
to be with all of you here. He was just waiting for the Doctor's clearance
to plan the visit. He mentioned several other things which were
unfortunately inaudible and unclear.
I thank all the devotees for their prayers and now that we know how
important this marathon is for GM I am requesting all those of you who were
planning to take it lightly to please reconsider and put your very best
efforts. He had to go off the line as there were some medical needs to be
taken care of.
