SB 3.22.34 - We may enjoy the material facilities provided we have added Krishna in our life.

niñëätaà yogamäyäsu

munià sväyambhuvaà manum

yad äbhraàçayituà bhogä

na çekur bhagavat-param

-Srimad Bhagavatam 3.22.34

Thus Svāyambhuva Manu was a saintly king. Although absorbed in material happiness, he was not dragged to the lowest grade of life, for he always enjoyed his material happiness in a Kṛṣṇa conscious atmosphere.

bhagavat-paramword is important which means a great devotee of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. So, if a person is a devotee of Krishna, then although he may be living in a deep materialistic environment with a full possibility of getting away from Bhakti, he will not fall away from the path of Bhakti.

So, we should keep on doing whatever duties are prescribed to us & at the same time we must strive hard to become a devotee of Krishna. The best way to become a Krishna devotee is to associate with sincere Krishna devotees.
