Dear Board Game Scholars and Enthusiasts,

As you know the XXVIII Board Games Studies Colloquium is around the corner. It will take place in Alicante from April 27 – 30, 2026.

Find a version or our conference programme attached to this email. Be mindful that this is still subject to change. We will update our website accordingly prior to the conference.

The programme this year includes a total of 44  presentations of a variety of topics, excursions to the local archaeological museum MARQ-Alicante, as well as the usual conference dinner, and the gaming night where we will learn about dominoes with a local specialist.

The social programme will also include a football match so you might want to pack some sports gear if you want to join us.

Registration will continue open until we have booked out the venue capacity, so make sure you secure the last seats. You can register at this link.

You are all very welcome to join us for this meaningful event.

Looking forward to meeting you there.

Best Regards,

The 28th BGSC Organizing Committee,

Ángela Pérez García, Ilaria Truzzi, Marco Tibaldini, Pablo Camacho Rodríguez, Raimon Graells i Fabregat, Tiago Hirth

Dear Ilaria and other members of the organizing committee,

Is it possible to attend the conference online ? Does it require some registration if it is possible ?

Thanks a lot for your answers !

All the best for the organization !

Hello dear Hannah,
unfortunately we are not going to stream the whole event this year.
Besides the few online sessions, the event will be held in person.
I could ask the organisers if they would be up to share the links to the few remote or hybrid presentations for whom might be interested in following those.
All the best,

Dear Ilaria (if I may?),

First, I'd like to congratulate the organisers for such an excellent line-up. I too was wondering if it would be possible to attend the conference online. If there are any updates regarding this, please let me know.

Hope you are well.

Best regards,

Souvik
