Hello Colleagues,

I am curious, is there a book or articles that speak generally on the subject of how one reconstructs a game whose rules are lost? I know of some articles on specific cases and a few articles on the use of computers and AI, but I haven't been able to find anything that goes into best practices, pitfalls, etc. in a general sense.

Thanks,

Dan

Hello dear Dan,
Maybe you can check out the publications related to the Gametable Action: https://gametable.network/index-publications.html
You might find something interesting there, check out the Ludus Coriovalli paper, and the related references of this article might be useful as well.
Best,
