Call for Contributions-Board Games in the Iberian Peninsula

Dear colleagues,

I am glad to let you know that Alexandra -founder of the Archaeolore research Group- and I are organising an event dedicated to the study of games, that will take place on October 16-17th, 2026.

We are both involved in investigations related to gaming in the Iberian Peninsula.  Thanks to this fruitful collaboration, we are glad to share the Call For Contributions of the first series of an online seminar all dedicated to the history of games. The event will cover a wide timespan running from Antiquity to the present world, aiming to bring together researchers and experts in board games and gaming items studied from a variety of archaeological and historical perspectives. We seek for evidence and research whether discovered or connected to the Iberian Peninsula only.

We kindly ask you to disseminate this seminar call with your colleagues. If you wish to contribute with a paper, please submit your proposal by using this link or by scanning the QR Code. We accept applications until July 31st.

Please note that the applications will be evaluated by a Scientific Committee.
