Dear friends and colleagues,
It seems that John Jaques & Son, the oldest games editor existing since 1795, went bancrupt:

This is terribly sad news. Jaques introduced games such as « Pachisi or Homeward bound » in 1863 and therefore paved the way for Ludo, Parcheesi, Mensch ärgere dich nicht and all the other Pachisi variants, which became so popular all over. They also played an important role in the development of « Croquet » in the 1870s and, at the beginning of the 20th century, of table tennis (« Gossima »).
Jaques has also an important collection of their own games! What will happen to this collection which covers more than 200 years of British games production??
Cheers
Ulrich
