Hey all,

Long time no message! It's been a long almost-1.5-years since I last emailed. I figured as we approach the new academic year, now would be a good time to talk plans.

First up, the obvious: we aren't going to be having in-person BGS Game Nights for a month or two, I think. In-person events are now allowed to have food or drink available, but our typical pizza & drinks buffet is still advised against. Additionally, I have not had the mental brainspace to apply for BGSA merit funding, coordinate scheduling, and so on just yet. If you're curious about what I've been up to feel free to ask, but otherwise just know that I probably won't get myself put together enough for an event until maaayyyybe end of October? Hopefully by then things will also have settled a bit more w/ COVID, though given what I saw at the King of Prussia mall this weekend while I was attending a local convention... I'm not that optimistic. x.x

Second up, the future: if all goes according to plan, I'm going to be graduating within a year. With that in mind, I know that this is uh, not exactly the most conducive time for this, but if anyone wants a primer on how to run this club with intent to take over once I graduate, feel free to contact me directly (cp...@pennmedicine.upenn.edu). The only requirement is that you have a decent number of games to bring for game nights, but "a decent number" mostly just means like, four or five solid games with one or two that can do high player counts.

I think that's all from me right now. I'll keep y'all updated as time goes on, and hopefully I'll see you in-person soon!
