carrying any value?
Let me answer this differently. I would not talk about CCNA alone.
Certification does carry value, be it MCSE, RHCE, CCNA, Network+ or any
other. It's important because it gives you recognition, confidence
and other benefits such as access to online resources, participate in
online discussion forums, access to valuable tools, case studies etc.
Certification will be added advantage to your career if it is in line
with your job role and responsibilities.
Certification is not about knowledge. Most of certifications are more
product specific and designed to test your skills and knowledge on
specific products and technologies developed by vendors. More
precisely, training and experience gives you knowledge where
certification give you recognition by testing your knowledge and
skills.
I hope this answers your queries.
