SOApaligner running problem

On my Ubuntu mechine, I am trying to run the latest version of SOAP like this
./soap -D ref.index -a input.fa -o align.soap
But I am getting this error even after providing the full path of input file
Begin Program SOAPaligner/soap2
Fri Jun 19 13:35:54 2015
Reference: ref.index
Query File a: test.fa
Output File: align.soap
Load Index Table ...
DNALoadPacked() : Cannot open inputFileName!
Any help wioll be great. Thanks
