I was just preparing my initial entry in the New To You 2012 geeklist and when I hit preview I get "site is down for maintenance"... so I've lost everything I typed... now I'm really bummed because I had almost decided not to bother with this annual list... and I've just wasted a good 30 minutes collating info for my entry and typing up my personal thoughts.

How often must we say it?

Use Firefox. Install the Lazarus add-on.

Andy ,

I would have thought an experienced Geeklister like you would at least
use NotePad or something and cut^H^H^H copy and paste in. I once lost
well over an hours work when I took a break to from the computer to
get drink and my then five year old came in and pressed back on the
browser :-(

I know I use notepad when I am substituting for Bas for the Games
Played GeekList when he is on holidays.

Note to self, since I am a Firefox user I should really investigate Lazarus.

In most browsers if you preview regularly you can go "back" to the last preview.

Installed (took less than a minute to search and click install on Firefox). First I've heard of it.

No he meant 2012.  He does the monthy New To You lists, and at the end of the year, there is a Best New Game of the year list. 
 
That is what he is talking about.
