Chapter 18: Conclusion -- The Perfection of Renunciation
Verse: 62
tam eva saranam gaccha
sarva-bhavena bharata
tat-prasadat param santim
sthanam prapsyasi sasvatam

Translation:
O scion of Bharata, surrender unto Him utterly. By His grace you will attain transcendental peace and the supreme and eternal abode.

Explanation:
In the previous verse Krishna revealed that the "svabhava" or intrinsic nature of the living entity that forces one to act in a particular way is actually sanctioned and overseen by Him in the form of Supersoul. This verse explains the purpose of the knowledge just revealed: take shelter of that Lord. By this the living entity will attain the cessation of vidya and avidya and then will attain the eternal place Vaikuntha. This surrender to the Supersoul is for worshippers of the Supersoul (paramatma), whereas the worshippers of bhagavan surrender to bhagavan, which will be explained later.

Just in case Arjuna may still think of the Supersoul as different from the personality of Krishna, the Lord states that this Supersoul is non-different from Him. Srila Prabhupada explains, "In the Fifteenth Chapter of Bhagavad-gita it is stated, sarvasya caham hridi sannivistah: the Lord is seated in everyone's heart. So this recommendation that one should surrender unto the Supersoul sitting within means that one should surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna."
