Systems Administrator (Suitland, MD)
Two positions available
Job Description: Seeking a systems administrator to provide daily system support and maintenance of MAGNet and other CG-2 systems for U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy and Department of Homeland Security customers. Position is located at the Office of Naval Intelligence near Suitland, MD, and responsibilities include:

1. Day-to-day operational support and administration of MAGNet/CG-2 systems
2. Participation in the design and maintenance of security infrastructure
3. Change management (CM) procedures and policies support, ensuring database-related information and code are up-to-date
4. Cross-training initiatives support to ensure system maintainability
5. On-call rotation for 24x7 support, as well as pager and/or cell phone accessibility

Required Skills:

• 5+ years information technology experience in similar areas including:
      - NIX (Solaris) and Windows system administration
      - Storage Area Network System (SANS) and system backup experience
      - Oracle DBMS systems administration
• Strong knowledge and experience in managing production server environments, to 
      include installation and maintenance of SUN/Intel Servers and other associated hardware
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of SOLARIS 10 and Microsoft Windows systems     administration, to include standard services, protocols, applications, software upgrades,     performance tuning and data recovery
• Ability to diagnose server and network problems and effectively resolve issues
• Ability to take initiative, work independently and handle complex technical issues
• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information science and/or equivalent work experience
