Dear Saadhaks

The trail mail sent to President and copied to MC for further discussion.

I expressed my views and stand about the agenda circulated.

I thought of sharing for your information as we contributed bit of good things to this society as a team and created some bench marks in operation.

For your information, my stand is that every member has the right to have 21 days prior intimation on the amendments and I am not for stop the GB meeting schedule..

I am not sure of attending this GB, but none of us are above law.

Regards
Ramachandran.K

President,

This has reference to this morning telecon around 13.30 Hrs today, you being the highest position in the committee I here by request you to do due diligence of this aspect and take the right decision.

Please refer to my earlier mails on the above subject, it is mandatory to circulate amendments 21 in advance to members.

I am not opposing the other points mentioned in your tentative agenda which Management committee has planned to discuss.

Is it right on our part to violate the societies act, please evaluate?

As agreed , looking forward to hear from you by this day.

Thanking you

Dear Mr. K. Ramachandran ,

At present,  we are following our current Bye Laws . If you refer clause 68 on amendment of Bye Laws , there
is no mention of mandatory circulating of amendments 21 days in advance.

More importantly , many of you as part of the newly formed Bye Laws committee have spent precious time
out of your personal commitments to evaluate and suggest amendments , wherever necessary .

I am sure this aspect cited in your mail can also be  taken up in our future Bye Law sittings and suitably
amend it  for the New MC's to follow.

For the present , let us move on as it is , without any changes.

With best regards,

Harish S. Shetty

President

Please co-relate with your reply, whether  comply under bye law section 15 A) and justify your action. (meeting notice sent by you on 9th Feb without agenda, but Feb 19th you have circulated only the tentative agenda (ie not finalised) and proposed amendments are circulated only 4 -6 days earlier to the GB.

Point number 2) : U/s 68 clearly mandate, any amendment / resolutions to be supported by 2/3 of all members (ie approx 67% of the total members has to accept and to approve for taking forward to GB for discussion).  Does 67% of the members supporting this resolution for to discuss in GB,  how as a chair person justify this?

Please evaluate ...I am not opposing the GB, but I am challenging  on taking amendment point in a hurry...and we will be spending our time and energy with government officials twice. (one is now and other is for later).
