Hi folks

Maybe this list still works and maybe it doesn't, but Hi anyway (not
that state in the middle of the ocean). Here in southern Quebec the
Waterloo bluegrass club is still rolling along, though with more
members and less bluegrass. we still get to be a stop on the mythical
Canadian Tour and We are greatful to see those weary travellers.
Especially in February weather.

If there is a new list that can be reached without getting it in the e-
mail I hope I find it.

All the best

So glad to see that this list is still working. I was beginning to wonder.

A couple posters have referred to their Kay basses, so I thought I'd chime in
too.
My old Kay is a blond with serial number 9444, which I understand dates it as
a 1939. Almost as old as me!!!!
I've had it since the early 70s and I guess I've been lucky, as the neck has
never been broken or removed from the body. Most of the old basses I see have
evidence of neck repairs.
I once took a bass, not a Kay, into a clinic and had an Xray done on the
neck. Sure enough, a big screw, which was hidden under the finger board, showed
up going deep into the heel.

Cheers, and best wishes for 2009

If you folks were wondering why things were so quiet on this list (bgBass-L), it's because the list has migrated over to bassfi...@googlegroups.com.  Long story, and I have forgotten the details.  Some sort of a snafu between Kip and Google Groups.
