BFRT UC,

Attached find the latest BFRT Logo concepts from Emily Simons.  This concludes the Stage III as included in the draft proposal.  If you can provide feedback on the different designs including what combination of variants you prefer, and I will try to sort out and send around the compilation.  Please also indicate if you desire to meet in person next week to sort through the final logo choice.  I will assume not, and folks would just like to weigh in via e-mail.

I will note that details seem to be able to be incorporated into granite markers (per the Charles River Greenway Heron design).

Best regards,

Tom

Tom,

Attached are six versions of the dragonfly logos. Please let me know which is chosen to go on to Stage IV. I will take some suggestions from the group for the final logo in case they are not completely happy with the logo they choose as it is.

Thanks,
Emily

Emily,

I am happy to inform you that the Dragon Fly logos were the overwhelming choice of the group, and that we can move on to Stage III.  (The Dragon Fly was my pick as well)

Attached I am providing some feedback I received.  I am providing as much to document the comments, not that they can or will be incorporated, including the ones I disagree with (I know the logos with the detail you have suggested can be incorporated into Granite Markers).

If you desire to talk about the Stage III call me on my cell phone 978-580-6190 anytime to discuss.  I am happy to meet in person as well if that will help.

Congratulations and thank you again.

Best regards,

Tom

Tom,

Logo B is my first choice because of the combination of the cat tails and water swirl in my mind create a more complete picture. I could also go with a version of Logo D that would include a water swirl, albeit a bit smaller. I only suggest this variation of Logo D in the event that it would fit better on vertical trail markers though that doesn't sound like an issue.

I don't sense that there is a need for an in-person meeting next week on this matter. Given the time of year with folks taking vacations, it might be hard to get a critical mass together anyway. In my case I'll have limited availability August 3-5 and will be away August 6-14 with no easy email access.

Tom,
I prefer the oval and the orientation of the cattails and dragonfly in logo d, but I like the water swirl in logo b (could this be added to logo d?) and recommend that the cattail leaves be wider/thicker with one or two leaves taller and one or two leaves bent (check out the cattail in the Sudbury Valley Trustees logo at www.sudburyvalleytrustees.org ).

I know you asked for responses by 7/31, but I just got home tonight. I saw 2 responses. I believe the oval shape will work better on granite posts than circular, and I like the water swirl. I agree D looks very good (with a water swirl added) but would like the trail name inside the oval as in E (I would not have the dragonfly detail as in E). Of course the proportions of the name almost complete the oval in D, so that is fine with me. I like Marcia's comment about cattail leaves.
