JOWO 2026 Episode XII: The Tropical Spring of Ontology
21–25 September 2026, Vitória, ES, Brazil – co-located with FOIS 2026
============================
The mission of the Joint Ontology Workshops (JOWO) series is to join forces of the diverse communities interested in building, reasoning with, and applying formalized ontologies in the wide spectrum of information sciences, knowledge representation, artificial intelligence theory and applications, logic, philosophy, linguistics, cognitive science, and beyond. JOWO 2026 is the twelfth edition of the series, and will be held on-site in conjunction with FOIS 2026, during the first days of the conference which will take place in Vitória, Brazil, from 21st to 25th September 2026.
The chairs for JOWO 2026 invite researchers and practitioners interested in theory, practice, development, and/or application of ontologies and related areas to submit workshop proposals for review. The goal of the workshops is to provide a forum for researchers to discuss emerging research questions and challenges in ontology research.
The contributions to the accepted workshops will be published open access in a joint CEUR proceedings volume (unless opting out), within the IAOA series at CEUR. This series is indexed by SCOPUS and DBLP.
