Brevity, however, is not the only advantage Girls has this time around. It benefits from having been gone long enough for many of us to miss it. And it returns, in all its dreamy, slightly loopy, generally optimistic lightness, at a time when many of us could use an escape, and TV could undoubtedly use a break from the grim, violent, conspiracy-laden dramas that currently dominate the landscape.

A beloved crime drama will finally be making its way back to Netflix, with the streaming platform announcing that the entire eight seasons of Dexter will become a part of their catalog once more on June 19. The thrilling series about a forensic expert when it comes to bloodstain pattern analysis hasn't been seen on Netflix for a long time, but hardcore followers of the show will get yet another chance to relive their favorite moments from the project created by James Manos Jr. An unforgettable story of blood and betrayal starring Michael C. Hall as the titular character will be coming back, more than a decade after the original series came to an end.

Dexter introduced the titular character as someone who witnessed the brutal murder of his mother at a young age. After being adopted by Miami police officer Harry Morgan (James Remar), the young man was inspired to become the forensics expert seen over the course of the show. However, Dexter quickly becomes a vigilante who uses his own job to cover up his crimes, as he attempts to behave like a normal person even if he can't seem to understand the experience. Part of what made Dexter such a beloved title over the years was its supporting cast, who stuck around while the criminal continued his quest of helping his community in unconventional ways.

Dexter also featured performances from Jennifer Carpenter, Erik King and Lauren Vlez, with all the actors being part of the main cast at different points of the story. The original title ran for over the course of eight seasons, and while it seemed that audiences had seen the last of the character, the story of Dexter Morgan wasn't over, allowing Michael C. Hall to return to the role of the twisted vigilante once more.

Dexter: New Blood premiered on Showtime eight years after the original story came to a close, and it followed the titular character after he had faked his death during a hurricane. After establishing a romantic relationship with Angela Bishop (Julia Jones), the character is afraid to find out if his dark past will catch up to him in a thrilling continuation of the story fans know and love. A second season of Dexter: New Blood centered around the protagonist's son is currently in development, even if a release date hasn't been set by the network.

The very first season of Dexter was based on "Darkly Dreaming Dexter," a novel written by Jeff Lindsay that turned out to be the first in a series of stories following the titular character. However, after the first season of the television adaptation was released, the team behind the project took their version of the character in a different direction, even if Lindsay continued to write novels about the methodic killer. The most recent title in the book series, "Dexter Is Dead", was released almost a decade ago, while the legacy of the protagonist continued to expand on television through the series developed by James Manos Jr. Dexter's imminent return to Netflix will also allow viewers who missed the story when it was aired for the first time to dive deep into the psychology of the unpredictable character.

My favorite of the Netflix Marvel shows was Charlie Cox's Daredevil, which did the most with Netflix's 13-episode model and the darker tone of the TV-MA series in comparison to Marvel Studios' recent shows. While Daredevil stood above all others, I enjoyed the rest of the Netflix Marvel shows. That said, like most fans, I had my fair share of issues with Iron Fist. The Finn Jones-led series was the most criticized of the bunch, and it is understandable that it ranks lower than the others. However, after a rewatch, I want Jones' Iron Fist to return to the MCU.

Still, I decided to tune in for Iron Fist season 2. I remember that when the second season came out, I thought it was a clear improvement from the first. Having rewatched Iron Fist season 2 six years later, I am sure of it. Jones and the series as a whole showed a lot of improvement. Colleen Wing was on fire, Danny and Ward Meachum were a delightful pair to watch, and the fights were better. Jones' Danny was charismatic, and season 3 seemed to be on the way to delivering the ideal Iron Fist, but then it was canceled.

Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter has teased a return, and Luke Cage actor Mike Colter is open to reprising his Marvel role. Given Jessica Jones' chemistry with Daredevil and Luke Cage's possible connection to Kingpin through Harlem's Paradise, I could see both returning to the MCU soon. However, I wouldn't want to see all of those stars from The Defenders Saga back and have a different actor play Iron Fist. Jones' Danny Rand started to develop a bond with the others in The Defenders, and after Luke Cage season 2, I'm sure the MCU could do with the duo's chemistry.

Besides his appearances as Iron Fist, I have watched Jones in multiple other projects, two of them being Game of Thrones and Dickinson. While GOT's Loras Tyrell showed he could be an honorable character like Danny Rand. In Dickinson, in which he appeared opposite MCU Kate Bishop actress Hailee Steinfeld, Jones showed just how charismatic he could be. The actor played a newspaper editor who seemed to be "the good guy," deceiving everyone with his charisma, only for him to have been cheating on his wife all along and trying to steal Emily Dickinson's poems.

All that to say, I think Jones has the potential to be the ideal Iron Fist. With enough fight training, good dialogue, and a solid story, an Iron Fist reboot could work. If a solo series doesn't happen, I'm sure a Heroes for Hire project to focus on his chemistry with Colter's Luke Cage could become popular. Marvel should also go all in on the mystical side of the character, showing how Danny got the Iron Fist from the dragon Shou-Lao and perhaps facing Fin Fang Foom to cement Jones as a new version of Iron Fist.

In recent developments surrounding WWE WrestleMania 40, there's been rampant speculation about a "mystery slot" on the event's card. Fans have been buzzing with theories, ranging from a high-profile return of wrestling icons like John Cena or Steve Austin to other surprising elements. However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter urges caution, clarifying the situation with his statement, "There is said to be a mystery slot, but whether that mystery is Cena or somebody else is not known," thus maintaining the suspense surrounding the slot's true purpose.

Adding to the intrigue, reliable sources have now revealed that this segment is set for a groundbreaking announcement directly linked to Paul Heyman, who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during the WrestleMania weekend. In a move that's sure to perk the interest of many, Heyman is anticipated to unveil plans for the revival of ECW, with a slated return in 2025 under WWE's new partnership with Netflix. This relaunch, spearheaded by Heyman, indicates a potential departure from the WWE's PG-TV rating, especially as Netflix's platform reduces the dependence on traditional sponsorship models.

The brand is poised for a unique positioning compared to NXT, targeting the future stars of tomorrow while incorporating many MMA elements. The recently trademarked logo, as revealed in this report, draws inspiration from the UFC logo, a fusion of professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. Heyman is determined not to merely replicate the past but is eager for the brand to adopt a more cutting-edge aesthetic. Now, with WWE and UFC uniting under the TKO banner, achieving this vision has become significantly more feasible.

WWE has initiated a broad trademarking campaign, securing rights to numerous ECW event names and taglines, alongside filing for the intellectual property rights of the new brand logo as seen in this report. You can check out the specifics of these trademarks by clicking here.

Paul "Triple H" Levesque has reportedly given his full endorsement to this venture, along with TKO who see this as another alternative for their expanding fighting and pro wrestling portfolio. Amidst this, there's growing speculation about the future dynamics between Heyman and Roman Reigns, suggesting a gradual estrangement that will see Heyman dedicating his focus solely to the ECW project.

Simply put, Jenna Ortega (last seen in Scream 5) perfects the morbid personality many have come to associate with the character. However, the head writers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, along with director Tim Burton, come up with a creative, original story for the classic family. Wednesday delivers on the mystery of her family lineage and its connection to the school. They even cleverly integrate Mexican heritage (during the Salem Witch Trials) into the Addams family lore. This was apparent when they cast all Latino actors for the lead roles, including Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmn as Morticia and Gomez Addams.

To be blunt, Wednesday is everything you would want in an Addams Family reboot wrapped in an original mystery simply that elevates the original sitcom lore of the 1960s. While not perfect the series is extremely solid and hopefully gets renewed by the streaming service.

Throughout his film reporting career, Caleb Williams has been given full press credentials for many nerdy movie and TV conventions, including San Diego Comic-Con, Las Vegas CinemaCon, and Phoenix Fan Fusion. He also has early press access to many upcoming streaming projects for review on Knight Edge Media.
