Someone from another forum, diagnoses with Autism / Asperger's, wrote,

"
I can see both sides of the matter, as someone who is in a psychiatric institution where it is deemed asier to "fix" my behavior than to work with the abuse survivor me. I do not agree with this, but it is hard of rme to stick up for myself, and then hearing someone say that my neurological difference is the result of child abuse, is like denying that it exists. I do feel that the system needs to change includign schools and homes and stuff, but let's face it, it's hugely easier to medicate different children than to change entire socieites. That's not saying it's good - I fought for years against medication, until I realized I had a choice between lviign in this society with intense pain and being abused for it, and living in thsi society with a semblance of less pain and not being abused for it.
"

I think this really says how high the stakes are. The treatments and the medications are used to make the victims submit. The very people who should be educated, trained, armed, and then be manning the barricades, are instead getting beaten down until they submit to chemical lobotomy.

There is nothing about parental child abuse which is past or over or history. It is a societal program and it continues to this very day. If you were abused, and you are not fighting back with comrades, then you are still being abused today. You are being abused every time someone says that you are wrong to try and fight back.

Abuse is not a good name for it, because it makes it sound aberrational. It is systemic and ongoing, it is persecution.

So the only remedy is to start educating people and then forming up cells and then finding ways to fight back.

I told you that when I was in high school a local man came to speak to us who had survived the Nazi death camps. Two of his toes had gotten frost bitten and then started to turn black, and so he had to amputate them himself with a pair of scissors.

He explained that there were some of their own who would steal food, and even rape. He explained, "These people we took care of ourselves."

Do you think the government prosecutes rape and murder cases out of the goodness of it's heart? No, of course not. It is simply that somewhere way back some despot or foreign conqueror found out that they could not maintain their claim to authority when they were always having to clean up after people who were imposing justice themselves. So they outlawed redress, but prosecuted the most serious offenses themselves.

It is like this today with parental child exploitation and gifted child persecution. The government will step in to stop it, but only after it sees that otherwise people will be taking care of the situation themselves. Otherwise, the middle class family will continue to be our primary institution for regulating adults, and it does this by exploiting children.

So anyone telling you that you are to somehow "recover", but without redress, is simply another abuser.

People who have been completely marginalized and who seem to have no place and who seem to be completely unable to function, will change completely when they become both politically conscious and actively involved in obtaining redress.

So I keep reading this Nick Dubin. It is interesting, even though I become still even more convinced that it is nonsense.

His life long hero was Bob Barker, of The Price Is Right. He wanted to be in a broadcasting class his last year of high school. But as he was in Special Ed., and as he was known to have fine motor skills limitations, and as he would be expected to thread a reel to reel tape recorder, they did not want to let him in.

So I think about this. There have been times in the past when I am sure that I threaded reel to reel tape recorders as much as any of Dubin's teachers ever did. Is it hard? Maybe some kids do find it hard. But if you practice and if some one shows you how to distinguish the two sides of the tape, it is not as hard as it is to tie your shoes. So again, I think this is bull shit, they are just breaking Dubin down again and again.

He never mentions any trouble tying his shoes or threading in new laces, or fastening anything on his clothes. He will soon be driving a car, and seeming to like driving and doing lots of it. Never mentions any issues. He becomes and international tennis champion.

Now sometimes he ends up being employed as a tennis instructor. When it is high school kids just a few years younger than he, they do taunt him. This shows how serious this tribal age segregation dynamic is.

Once he is teaching at a tennis club and he is supposed to unlock the door in the morning and some kids are making fun of him not being able to get the key in the lock. This is the only other time he mentions fine motor skills issues, when people are laughing at him.

So again, I think there is something else going on.

He spends lots and lots of time with his parents, and talking on the phone with them, especially with is dad. Really unusual. He comes home for lunch during high school.

He could have gone to college close to home. His parents live in suburban Detroit. But because everyone else is going away to school, he feels that he has to. So he ends up 170 miles away on the West side of the state, near Grand Rapids. But he drives home every weekend.

He does not like the loud stereos and the rowdy behavior in the college dorm. Those places are zoos because they are muggle children and many of them are coming from very authoritarian families. In some of these places people are breaking beer bottles in the hallways with golf clubs and then dropping shopping carts off of the top floors.

This college dorm is the first mention we hear of using white noise machines to help him sleep, even though 15 years later when the FBI breaks into his apartment to arrest him he had three of them running.

So a thunder storm, probably coming off of lake Michigan, knocks out the power. So his white noise machine won't work. But the loud stereos don't work either. But he still freaks out and goes and checks into a hotel and calls home and gets his mother on the phone. Her visceral revulsion shows. I believe that under the surface, this is the primary issue in Dubin's life.

The father gets Nick set up to rent a room 3 miles away, in a rural area. It is quiet, but he doesn't like it because it is unfamiliar. So he spends his days driving to areas 25 miles away which resemble the upscale suburb his parents live in. He drives around and around in the car.

He doesn't like the dorm, or the rural area. Doesn't seem attracted to urban areas. But he likes the suburbs.

His greatest fear in life is that he is homosexual. But he has zero intimate experience with boys or girls.

Finally to get some, with his father's help he sets up a session at a Nevada legal brothel. This is a disaster. Nick is terrified that he is just plain defective. I am certain that this is coming from his mother, and he has internalized it. This is Alice Miller's 'Narcissistic Wound'. So when the brothel session, a really stupid idea for someone who feels zero attraction to women if you ask me, fizzles, Nick is devastated.

The father seems to have early on made himself into the outreach person, offering Nick the pity branch of rotten olives and trying to befriend him, but at the same time always placating the mother and affirming her view.

This is how I see it, but Nick idolizes both his parents. I guess that once I did too. But then I read Alice Miller.

Now I read John E. Robison and things are very different. No fine motor skills issues for him, he designs builds and repairs electronics. Most of his life he has spent repairing expensive automobiles.

No issues with loud music either. He was crew for the band KISS. He was their special effects guy too, so he was always there in those really loud late 70's concerts to see the stuff work. He was a bit of bass player himself and he modified tube amps to make a thicker sound.

I read Robison and Dubin, both supposedly Aspergarian and so different from the so called Neuro Typicals ( what I call Muggles ). But Robison and Dubin are so much polar opposites that they each have more in common with the Muggles than they do with each other.

If you mean that they are really similar because they are both seen as weird, well maybe. But who with an IQ breaking into double digits would ever want to be a Muggle?

I see Dubin as being quite similar to Robison's younger and non-Aspergerian brother, Augusten Burroughs. But that is because Burroughs is gay and so the ways he thinks and the things he takes interest in are quite different.

Dubin's father takes him to a taping of a Price Is Right show. Dubin won $5k. As he wanted to be a Jazz DJ, he spent it all on CDs. He learned a great deal about Jazz and ended up helping out in a radio station. I have often found CD's and their players hard to handle. Never any mention that Dubin finds them so.

When Dubin went to Europe for tennis, he met a high schooler his own age, but he was from the East Coast, so his views were less conservative.

As I see it, conservative social views are a big part of the lives of both Dubin and Robison.

Dubin in particular likes the suburbs and the conspicuous recreation of tennis. He was intrigued when he visited Amsterdam's Red Light District. The pictures of this that I have seen always show the women standing in the windows. But I'm sure the offering is not restricted to women. But Dubin shows no attraction to cities, or to the cadres of gay men who you will find there.

In this Detroit Metro that he is coming from, social and political views are strongly correlated to which postal zip code one lives in, and both of these are strongly correlated to race.

Remember, it was in Detroit that a woman was forced off of welfare and into welfare to work and so she had to spend 3 hours per day riding on a bus to get from where she lived to her minimum wage job at one of Dick Clark's Hamburger places in the suburbs. Her 6yo son got a gun and brought it to school and shot a 6yo girl. This is featured in Michael Moore's film Bowing for Columbine.

No I don't agree that there is any such thing as Autism or Asperger's. What I see first is the middle class family. Since it's emergence 200 years ago, it's central feature is that it exploits children, using them to justify the lives of the adults. So the middle class family and it's baby books and pedagogy manuals are the original producers of kiddie porn.

So I am certain you have Dubin's mother inflicting an extreme and extended version of the Narcissistic Wound, an expression of her own postpartum depression, and using baby Nick as her own instrument.

You have a Gifted Child, able to see and feel this, and being forever more shaped by it.

Then you have these age segregated Muggle schools, which are designed to promote bullying in order to enforce social conformity.

You have Nick who is unable to engage with people of other races, social classes, or different political views because he has inherited the prejudices of his parents. You have Nick having internalized his parent's view that he is inadequate.

So he is just driven and helpless year after year. No Autism / Asperger's diagnosis until he is 27yo. But Special Ed. teachers and therapists have been at him from the age of 3.

For some reason having to do with Asperger's work being done in Germany during the war, it was not known in the US. So I guess here we only knew about the more extreme forms of it, which we call Autism.

But at the age of 27 when Nick finally does receive his diagnosis he jumps on it and copulates with it and lets it be the defining moment of his life. So now he writes idiotic books which exonerate his parents and our school system and the white coats and which help to beat down anyone else who is seen as weird.

I'll have another one of his books coming in, about Asperger's and Depression. Peter Breggin says that people are depressed because they lead depressing lives. But I am sure that Nick Dubin will tie it all to this Neurological Difference and the social ramifications of not having learned how to pass for normal. And consider also that this was just before he got busted for viewing online kiddie porn. He told the FBI that he felt guilty when he looked at it. So I will be reading a book written by a guy who was viewing kiddie porn, and then feeling guilty about it.

I don't take any of these Autism / Asperger's books at face value. I'll be reading more of Robison's third book, about his son, "Raising Cubby". I've already listened to him describe how the Narcissitic Wound was inflicted on both he and his son. Robison sees it as affirmation that Asperger's is real that a child will not respond to it's mother in the way the mother wants. Alice Miller and I see it quite differently.

Nothing is going to change until people start to fight back. We can't expect children to do this in real time. So we who are now adults have to do it, no matter how much time has already passed. The government will only help when it is forced to because people are dealing with the perpetrators themselves.

And yes, it does seem like once you go outside of urban Detroit, there is a great deal of political conservatism in Michigan.

The Middle Class lives in Bad Faith.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_faith#Ethics.2C_phenomenology.2C_existentialism

John Merriman, Yale
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEk1JAkyvj4

Those of the middle class are not peasants or people from traditional societies.  They have choices in how they live.  But they don't want to face this.  So instead they find things to hide behind.  Usually this is marriage and the family.  When they hide behind this they are trying to make it look like they are just doing what they have to do, what everyone is expected to do.  So they are hiding behind children, using children, exploiting children, and abusing children.

The middle class invented childhood, the special types of clothes and the roles children are placed into. And then of course comes the taking of pictures of children.  All of this is being done in order to legitimate the adults.

When I speak of Baby Books, I mean the kinds of books sold in any of America's large chain book stores which sentimentalize childhood and try to market parenthood.  So adults are being encouraged to use children to justify themselves.  Of course this is child exploitation.  And of course this should be considered an entry level form of kiddie porn.  And I am certain that some pedophiles are drawn to these pedagogy manuals for exactly this reason.

The root source of child exploitation is the middle class family.  The other forms operate in its shadow.  More sexual molestation happens in the family, than in any other venue.

My indictment of the middle class family does not apply to people who come from traditional societies as found in the developing world, as for these people having children is not a conscious choice.  They really don't have any options.  But the middle class in the industrialized nations does have a choice.  It is just that they don't want to face this.  They don't want to take responsibility for the fact that they are making choices.  So instead they look to the degree of social cover they will get by having children.  And yes, the Liberal Pedagogy Manuals sold in stores promote this.

So where Alice Miller starts is with the mother trying to get the child to mirror her own facial expressions, and the child hence coming to doubt the validity of it's own existence.  You would not find this in a traditional society.  There, children just are, they aren't there to be used for anything.  They have as much of a right to exist as anyone else does.  But for the Middle Class it is different, children are to serve a purpose, just like a new automobile or a washing machine or a drier is.  So when the mother starts to find the situation problematic, not being able to face the fact that she had a choice, she starts to consider whether or not this child is covered by a manufacturers warranty and if it can be returned.

So this Narcissistic Wound occurs, closely related to post partum depression.  And it is a gifted child who will be most sensitive to this.  So this is why when you look at the faces of the children on the cover of Autism Asperger's Digest, you can see that they have suffered some sort of deep internal wound.

http://autismdigest.com/

So of course knowing that people are going to exploit this wound and use it to gain power over them, they will often avoid direct eye contact.

Here is a picture of the writer Nelson Algren with Simone de Beauvoir.  The author of a biography of de Beauvoir commented that Algren is showing unusual vulnerability.  To me he looks like the children who are being exploited on the cover of Autism Asperger's Digest.

And to me they all look like the monkeys Harry Harlow used in his maternal deprivation studies at U Wisconsin Madison.  He had done earlier maternal deprivation studies on rats at Stanford, under the direction of Lewis Terman.

I continue to read this Nick Dubin, talking about himself.  I become still ever more convinced that he and these other autism advocates are just completely wrong.  But I doubt anyone would ever be able to convince any of them of this.

Specifically about his sexuality and his eventually ending up looking at free online kiddie porn; his therapist recommended that he start looking at adult porn, in order to determine to his own satisfaction his sexual orientation.  He started with print magazines, and yes he did find that he liked the gay stuff better.  So he started looking online.  He found that upon going to the gay sites, pop up windows started opening, and some of it was kiddie porn.  About this I know absolutely nothing.  But what Dubin says is that he was only attracted to the pictures which showed one child alone.  The idea of an adult having sex with a child was repulsive to him, and he would never even consider sex with a child.  Rather, seeing these children reminded him of himself and his own sexuality which was lost.

I'm not going to comment further on this itself.  But I am going to talk more about what Dubin says and what can be discerned about the larger cultural context of his life and how I feel this contributes to the blindness he is showing.

He writes, and others write, that those on this Autism Spectrum are often seen as being asexual.  And he was, by virtue of the directions his life had gone, being forced to live this way.

John E. Robison is completely heterosexual, and he is now on his second wife.  But for me reading him, it does seem like sexuality is secondary to him.  He writes of being with the rock band KISS, and of their really wild parties.  He says, "Madams came to sample their wares."  He never seemed to take any interest in anything like this.

What I say is that of course these persons are going to be quite asexual, as they have been beaten down.  They are seriously wounded.  And then if they accept the diagnosis, this breaks them down even further.  So they are not able to be life affirming.  Accepting the diagnosis means that they accept the idea that it is they who are defective, or just different.  This means they renounce all redress.

Dubin even talks optimistically about the call for "Neuro Diversity", meaning giving up on the idea of a cure or a fix.

Well if this is not pity seeking then I don't know what is.  It is rather like in the middle of a campaign of genocide, if the victims said, "Please don't kill us, allow for racial diversity."

There is something seriously wrong with a person if they are not able to stand up and use deadly force and any other means available to defend themselves.  Those on this Autism Asperger's spectrum are already broken by the middle class family, by our age segregated schools, and by the white coats.  If they accept the diagnosis, then they have completely capitulated and they live moment to moment by virtue of pity.  So of course they are going to be asexual.
