Thank you Kris for reminding me, and everybody, of the poxer of anger !
Sorry I have'nt written to our group for a long time. Depression and the wish
to forget, i.e. to repress feelings of sadness about what was lacking in childhood
tend to overwhelm me. Yet I keep reading books about the way human beings
can torture other human beings ( deep and moving books about the nazi holocaust
of the european people of jewish religion for example). I am not of jewish religion
but I am trying to write about my own life and these books give me hope that writing
is not useless. I like Aaron Appelfeld's books for instance because he writes wonderfully
about his own experience of hiding and surviving alone as an eight year old child after his
parents had been murdered. He also writes about the way adult survivors denied the sufferings
of children survivors ! Kris I agree with you, our duty as survivors of other holocausts is to keep
fighting against mistreatments of powerless children, as did Alice Miller
Premature baby.
