Lynn Kern Koegel, Preying on Children
Lynn Kern Koegel, She is telling people how to abuse their own children. Of course she justifies it as being for the good of the child, and necessitated because the child is defective.
To call what she is doing child abuse is letting her off too easy. It would be criminal and tortious abuse if she presented an organized system of doing this to anybody. She is doing it to children because they are not able to defend themselves. Koegel is preying on children.
I'm interested in talking with anyone who believes that their life has been effected by Lynn Kern Koegel or anyone else like her. I want to get some lawsuits going. It might be easier to find people and attorneys willing to sue an institution, than willing to sue their parents.
I want to put Lynn Kern Koegel and her husband Robert Koegel out of action.

She is telling people how to play carrot and stick games with their kids. Her theory "Pivotal Response Therapy" is based on the idea of figuring out why a child is doing x, y, or z, which the parent finds problematic. She describes it as a payoff. Then she wants the parent how to figure out how to get the child to stop.
It is creepy. What is the payoff for Lynn Kern Koegel in doing this? What is the payoff for the parent?
She is simply teaching people how to manipulate their children. It all becomes like Moritz Schreiber and the sit up straight machine.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moritz_SchreberHis son, Judge Daniel Schreber would be Freud's most famous case. Deleuze and Guattari go into this much in Anti-Oedipus.
Because a parent has some issues with their child's autistic behaviors, Lynn Koegel is teaching them how to break their child of these.
Understand that the most likely cause of such autistic behaviors is simply that the parent is not engaging with the child. The parent finds the child to be an embarrassment and so they feel a visceral revulsion. So Lynn and Robert Koegel are showing the parents how to avoid engaging with the child at a person to person level, but instead to play these sorts of games.
And so of course it is all justified as being for the child's good, and necessitated because of this supposed neurological difference. As these children grow into adults, who knows how long it will take for them to be able to see what has happened. And how will they ever get back the lives that have been taken from them.
Physical, Sexual, and Psychological child abuse of the sort that goes on in families are done in the context of scapegoating. This is what defines the middle-class family and parental authority, that it is for the good of the child because of the child's defect.
