Project: Future Publications in the Humanities (Fu-PusH) is granted - Library of the Humboldt-University of Berlin (Germany)

Dear colleagues,

The DFG-Project" Fu-PusH", the library of the Humboldt University applied for, is funded since January 2014 for two years with the objective to realized recommendations for action to produce and design digital patterns of publications, which are not still strong oriented towards the model of printed formats. DFG is the German Research Society / Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).

For electronic publishing in the humanities it is necessary to exploit the full potential of digital media and their tools. It is also necessary to analyse the consequences for the service portfolios of the institutions of the academic information infrastructures and to work on recommendations claim to renew these acadamic information infrastructures.

For this purpose the project needs to conduct interviews with scientific authors, representatives of facilities of information infrastructures and acadamic publishing houses. The results of these analyzes should take up the basic business model and should implement various publication scenarios experimentally.

The following research asscociations are cooperation partner of the Project Fu-PusH: the cluster of excellence "Image Knowledge Gestaltung. An Interdisciplinary Laboratory" (Humboldt-Universität), the cluster of excellence "TOPOI - The Formation and Transformation of Space and Knowledge in Ancient Civilizations" (Humboldt-Universität), the institute for book science including the research focus of the convergence of media (Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz) and the Chair of Book and Library Science (University of Göttingen).
