From Vancouver Sun Jan 28,2011. Laval University Professor Xavier
Maldague hopes to prove Architect Jean-Pierre Houdin's theory of
internal ramps being used to build the pyramids. Maldague and his team
hope to use infrared thermography cameras to remotely scan the
pyramids in different sections every 20 minutes for a year. The
cameras will be installed in a hotel 300 metres away from the pyramids
to do the non instrusive scan. Maldague hopes to get the authorization
from the Egyptian government to do the scan by the end of 2011 to
start the sacn in mid 2012. Infrared thermography senses the
temperature changes within the stone. Any changes occur at different
temperautes in air cavities and will hopefully provide an accurate
display of the internal structure of the pyramids.
