Hi everyone,
I've had a brief read through of the book 'Doing Right' which Joe kindly managed to get from Campus Crusade. I'm quite convinced that this book will address the questions we had on right christian
doctrine and behaviour which we discussed at the start of this year. The book is thoughtfully written and the author obviously has a theological background, but the language used is in general quite simple and the
book structure is logical and well-organised.
The caveat is that each chapter is rather long (about 20 pages), so it will require commitment on everyone's part to do the readings beforehand and to come prepared to engage with the discussion. However, I do think this will really be worth doing. So as not to rush, I suggest that instead of different people leading different week's sessions, we can
each prepare to lead for each chapter. That way, if the chapters overrun one week, we can continue the following week. Since the book is structured according to each of the ten commandments, if anyone feels called to lead a particular commandment, let me know.
If we are all ok with this book,
let me know how many to order and I'll order online for us. We'll start this book on 18 April.
Next BS is on 4 April scheduled at Eileen's place. Welcome back Joanne!
Have a great week everyone.
James
