Miss Nepal 2011 Malina Joshi has been named conservation ambassador by World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Nepal. Joshi is the sixth winner of the beauty pageant to be named ambassador by WWF. The Young Conservation Ambassador programme was started in 2004.

Since then, Payal Shakya, Sugarika KC, Sitashma Chand, Zenisha Moktan and Sadichha Shrestha have contributed to disseminating the message of conservation. She will work to save wild species.
