Two-year old Utprem Jojiju has succeeded in setting a world record as the youngest musician in the world’s musical history.
Utprem of Ranipauwa-11, Pokhara, achieved the accolade of the youngest drum set player of the world in the Everest World Record-2012 on February 10.
At a press meet yesterday, the Jojiju Music Centre made public the certificate stating the minor as the youngest drummer at the tender age of two.
Born to Sahadev Jojiju and Harimaya Jojiju, on September 17, 2008, Utprem is studying in play group at Global Collegiate Ranipauwa School in the Lake City.
He has so far achieved 15 honours and certificates.
Starting to play the drum set from as young as one-and-a-half-year old, Utprem started public demonstration of his art at two.
His first presentation was on September 17, 2010 and has performed for 11 times so far.
Managing director of the music centre, Binit Jojiju, said Utprem has made a rare record in the world’s history of music and the country should promote his skill.
On the occasion, his performance was shown through computer.
