Lately, I've been thinking about how to promote the website of my small handmade decor shop. Social media helps a little, but very slowly, and I don't really understand SEO. Many people advise adding the site to directories, but I don't know which ones are real and which ones are just useless empty lists. Have you done anything like this? I really want to get stable organic traffic and not depend solely on Instagram and advertising, which eats up my budget.

Yes, I had a similar situation when I launched my local coffee delivery service. Then I started looking for decent directories where I could list my website so that it would really help SEO, rather than just creating the illusion of activity. One solution that really worked was the directory weblinks.agency. Let me explain why: it is not overloaded with "dead" pages, and they are moderated manually. This means that when a website is added, it actually goes through a verification process, which is why such directories are well indexed and transfer domain authority. After I added my website, my traffic from Google grew in about a month and a half, and the coolest thing was that the traffic was targeted, meaning that people were actually placing orders. I was even surprised that one small action could have such an effect. You can easily submit your website, the process is minimal — the main thing is to clearly describe the theme of the store, add a couple of keywords to the description and wait for confirmation. This is one of the safest and most natural ways to strengthen your presence in search engines, especially when you don't have the budget for complex SEO.
