Hey everyone. Remember me? Probably not – it’s been a long time.

I think we should have another go at this project. There are some fantastic ideas in here, and the need for a better system for school websites has not abated.

So, to further that goal, I have set up a Github repo and wiki and populated it with plain ol’ Wordpress to get us started.

I also think that this google group is perhaps not the best venue to keep discussion alive. I’ve put up a Vanilla forum at bsw.hipsterjazzbo.com; it's got polls and threads and lines and OpenID login and all sorts of stuff. We could also set up an IRC channel if anyone thinks it’d help? What do you think?

Lastly, even if you are no longer interested, or no longer have time to contribute, please consider passing the message on.

to Better School Websites

Hi I'm planning to create a new website for my mom's school (the
current one still uses frames....). I'm probably going with WordPress
because it has such a intuitive Backend which makes creating posts and
managing Media very easy for "not-technical" people.

btw: IRC would be nice. I'd definitely hang around in the channel :)
