Better Gmail 2. version 0.9.7 includes Favicon alerts fixes

Just compiled a new version of Better Gmail 2 that includes the
Favicon Alerts fixes. Download from here:

Some folks have been telling me they're getting "Invalid install"
errors from Mozilla Add-ons, so now I don't trust the site. If you
have that problem, use this mirror (at the risk of not getting auto-
updates for future releases):

Huge thanks to Peter Wooley and Eric Bogs for fixing this so quickly
in response to Gmail's API change (and all of us bugging them!)

are you going to update the official addon on the mozilla.org site to
the new version? Installing the new version from the link above
results in a whole new instance of the extension to get installed and
I really don't want two versions of the same thing. I could uninstall
the old version but the link to the new version on mozilla.org also
does not have author info, etc. on it so I am unsure if it will update
in the future...wouldn't it just be easier to update the original
mozilla extension?

thanks for the quick fix but due to these issues I cannot install the
new version....so close, yet so far :)

Hi,

The favicon fix worked great for me, but this morning it apparently
stopped working again... :-(

Are more people experiencing this?

I was using the updated Greasemonkey scripts to work-around the
original Favicon failure. As of this morning, the Favicon inbox count
is not working again.

I just installed Better Gmail 0.9.7 (which I assume bundles the same
updated Greasemonkey scripts I used manually to resolve this issue the
first time around) and still see broken Favicon functionality.

Let me know what I can do help debug or work-around this.

I installed it and it worked for a while but now it is broken again.

i updated to this version yesterday at work and it worked, but now
does not. it also did not work on my home computer.

I can confirm this. Bogs is broken, Wooley is still working. Thank
god there's a work-around (switching Favicon implementation to
Wooley).
