I love rainmeter but only use it for a couple HUDS. All the icon management i find is usually a very great looking skin that still takes up real estate on the desktop/bar. I was hoping for something more along the lines that breaks the icons into categories and maybe splashes out to select a large array of options.

Rainmeter is arguably the best customization tool for Windows. It's great for creating custom icons and entire custom skins. Your imagination and experience with the software is the only limitation as to what you can do with the custom icons.

The best part about Rainmeter icons? Whether you'd like to use the fantastic fan-made icons already at your disposal or want to create custom icons yourself, everyone can experience the satisfaction of custom desktop icons with Rainmeter. Here's how!

Rainmeter icons are some of the simplest skins to make but can also have the most substantial impact on your desktop. You can add custom Rainmeter icons for any program, app, or file path you want. All of those programs and files that never appear using the default Windows search option are suddenly a single click away.

It is best to learn how to create an icon before beginning to download and install icon sets. Since Rainmeter skin settings are text-based, learning your way around Rainmeter skins will help you get the most out of your skins.

Head to the Rainmeter folder within your Documents folder, which is created by default when you install Rainmeter. Then, create a folder within this directory to hold your icons. Name it whatever you'd like.

Icons can, of course, be considerably more complex (especially if they provide a large icon library and additional functions). However, you now know and understand the basic format for Rainmeter icon creation.

Now that you've created your icon, it's time to place it. First, ensure that you have your INI and image file in the same folder. Next, click Refresh All in the lower left-hand side of your Manage Rainmeter window.

While it's great to know how to create a custom Rainmeter icon, you don't have to create them all from scratch. As you might expect, the Rainmeter custom icon creation scene has a lot of options. Here are some of the best Rainmeter icon sets for you to check out.

The mouse-over effect will add a background to your desktop, reflecting the icon you choose.

Rainmeter allows users to create and customize their icons, offering endless possibilities. That includes options for laypeople and code-monkeys alike. Create your own icon and share it. Use someone else's. That's what makes Rainmeter fantastic.

I don't know exactly how you do it but I have thought of simply using a little programme in JBasic that sends a number to the serial port. It may even be possible to do it in BAT. The programme would be so small it could sit on the desktop, no shortcut needed, and you make up your icon for it.

How do i uninstall TaskbarX? Open the "TaskbarX Configurator" and hit the "Stop TaskbarX" button. This will stop the TaskbarX process and put your icons back to the left. Then go to the "Taskschedule" tab and hit the "Remove" button. After that you can simply remove the files where you installed TaskbarX.

How to update TaskbarX? Open the "TaskbarX Configurator" and hit the "Stop TaskbarX" button. This will stop the TaskbarX process and put your icons back to the left. Then overwrite the old TaskbarX files with the updated ones.

Looking to center a rainmeter skin? Nexus Dock Icons are appearing as '?' question marks? media player wont work? Can't play with Spotify / Windows Media Player? Well, I have had quite a load of questions about this on my YouTube Channel. So I decided to write an FAQ post to help you better understand your problems and solutions for them.

Nexus Dock users have this very common problem; No Icons (or empty icons with a question mark symbol). Well, Let me explain why this happens and how to solve this. First, you need to have an icon pack (or some icons as per your needs). If you have downloaded a theme from our website, you will find the Icons Folder inside the zip file you downloaded. This folder contains the icons you can use with Nexus Dock. If you haven't downloaded any theme from our website and want to get rid of these empty icons, simply find an icon pack online! The icons can be in .png format as well as a .ico format. Once you have the icons, you can apply them by 1) Dragging the icon file / image to the desired icon on Nexus Dock, or 2) Right-Clicking on the icon, going to Dock Entry Properties, and clicking Change Icon on the bottom section. From there you can choose an icon file and apply it on the icon.
