Don’t be left out! If you are an aspiring artist (beginner or advanced) and have always wanted to pursue your talent, grab your brush and paints and register at the library. Participants provide their own art supplies and work at their own pace with subjects of their own choosing. Carole will be available for guidance if desired. The classes culminate in June with a popular ART SHOW & RECEPTION in the Library’s Gallery.

Upcoming sessions are scheduled as follow:
Dates: Wednesdays, January 6, 13, 20, 27
Fee: $25 for the 4-session class. Check made payable to Carole Cryer upon registration at the Reference Desk.

A haunting ghost tale linking two worlds, two centuries apart. In 1940’s England, Tolly’s mother is pre-occupied with searching for information concerning his missing in action father. Tolly (Spall) is sent to Green Knowe, the country estate of his Grandmother (Smith), where he discovers that he can mysteriously travel through time, to witness the family stories his Grandmother has been telling him. He begins an adventure that unlocks family secrets laid buried for generations.

With Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum

For children ages 6 - 11

As the weather turns cold, explore the science of ice!  Try your hand at an icy science experiment, create your own icy masterpiece by painting with colored ice, and learn how to make ice cream using melted ice! There is a $2 program fee per child. Register from December 1.
