Memorial Day Game and Cookout, Welsh Park Rockville

Following up on sideline discussions, I’m issuing an early game on call for Monday 5/26/25 at 10 am (ish) at Welsh Park in Rockville (off I-270 exit 6). It’ll be the 50th anniversary of my first ultimate game (love at first catch at age 12 in NJ), so to celebrate I’ll be bringing the kernel of a post-game cookout. Please supplement with tailgating equipment and food/libations as you wish.

I meant Welsh (tentatively), as I didn’t want to unilaterally select a location with fewer field options, and there is some picnic space at Lower Welsh. But I’ll look into field and shelter permit availability at Woodley.

Just a reminder, game on in Rockville at (nominal) 10 am, cookout to follow when we’re done playing, at noon or so. Hoping to secure lower Welsh for the game, which has picnic tables adjacent in the shade. Weather looks lovely.  (Watch this space for update on the final location, which depends on who else shows up to use the park; they don’t take one-day reservations for Mondays.)

Game and post-game cookout today are at LOWER WELSH PARK ROCKVILLE. As Bryan already posted to some of you, turns out there are multiple (non-field) events in the area that are complicating parking. But that should clear eventually, and in the meantime unloading at the field and parking in the neighbors the west are ok enough.
