Dear Precious Partner in Christ,
Greetings from Bihar. Thank you for standing with the work in Bihar. It is bringing new souls to the kingdom of God. But we have much more to do. Sometimes we see what is happening and get satisfied. But in God's work it is also important to know what is not happening. Sometimes after listening about the work in Bihar, people think that much is happening and we can stop focusing on the work there. It can be a very misleading thought if we do not look at the reality.
First of all, if something is happening, it is because of the sacrificial work of the people of God. We have our coworkers from Bihar, Kerala and Tamilnadu burning themselves as a candle to spread the light of Jesus. Some of them have left good jobs in foreign countires and live here in the cold and heat. The other day my friend who works in the American Embassy visited us for the 5th time and spoke to our workers. He said the next time he would not be coming as a visitor but as a coworker. He has decided to resign his work and come here with his family. They have 3 children studying. They are not rich. Such sacrifices bring results. But whatever is happening is nothing in comparison to the need. There are still 20,000 villages in Bihar that have never heard the gospel. We need to send another 5000 workers to reach these people. Sometimes the enemy brings false information and psuedo satisfaction based on partial knowledge. He will tell that the land is reached and no more intervention is needed. This is the enemy's trick to divert the attention of the people of God from a place known as the graveyard of missions. Much work needs to be done here.
Today (6th April 2012) we visited West Champaron district for a survey and prayer. We are not working there till now. 4 million or so people are waiting for the gospel and there are very few Christian workers in the distrct. Can we afford to think that somebody else will do it? After seeing the condition of Bihar, a brother who visited us recently for a short term mission trip decided to come back and work here. He is an MSW and M.Phil and doing a PhD. But he is willing to go to West Champaron and live and work there. We want to send him and at least 10 more workers to that district. Please pray that God will do that. The time is short. We need to do our best to reach this land. What God asked us is to be here and by the grace of God we are here. Now you need to ask God what is His plan for you to reach the unreached millions of Bihar and India. You have a great reward in heaven for standing with the workers of Bihar.
